Service Delivery Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a service delivery manager in Georgia?
Service delivery manager roles in Georgia do not require a state-issued license, but most employers expect a bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field alongside an ITIL Foundation certification. Georgia's concentration of managed service providers, telecom firms, and enterprise IT shops in Atlanta and Alpharetta means candidates who build experience in technical support or project coordination roles and earn PMP or ITIL credentials move into service delivery management most reliably.
How much do service delivery managers make in Georgia?
Service delivery managers in Georgia earn a median of about $173,940 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $119,110 for the lowest 10% to over $279,640 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire service delivery managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring service delivery managers in Georgia right now include EY, CentricsIT, and ADP, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's dense cluster of technology companies, telecommunications carriers, and healthcare systems in the Atlanta metro creates consistent year-round demand for the role.
Which Georgia cities have the most service delivery manager jobs?
Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Macon have the most service delivery manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta's role as a national technology and financial services hub drives the bulk of listings, while Alpharetta's concentration of IT services firms and corporate regional offices generates strong suburban demand, and Savannah's growing logistics and port operations sector is producing an increasing share of openings.
Are there remote service delivery manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than many management roles, since service delivery managers often oversee distributed teams and client accounts that lend themselves to remote coordination. About 67% of service delivery manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based and communication-heavy nature of the work. Client-facing and implementation-heavy roles tend to require more on-site presence, while internal IT service operations roles are most frequently offered as hybrid or fully remote.
How can I get hired as a service delivery manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving up from a service desk analyst, IT support specialist, or junior project coordinator role within a Georgia employer, then stepping into a team lead or service operations coordinator position. Large Georgia employers in managed services and telecom regularly hire associates into rotational IT programs that build the cross-functional exposure hiring managers look for. Earning an ITIL Foundation certification before applying signals readiness and is consistently cited in Georgia entry-level postings as a differentiating credential.
Where can I find and apply to service delivery manager jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to service delivery manager jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings updated regularly. Find the roles that fit your experience and location and apply directly to the employers posting them.
