Real Estate Jobs in Oklahoma: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a real estate agent in Oklahoma?
You must obtain a salesperson license through the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission before you can represent buyers or sellers. The path requires completing state-approved pre-license education, passing the Oklahoma licensing exam administered by PSI, and affiliating with a licensed Oklahoma broker who will sponsor your license. Once licensed, you must complete post-license education within your first year and renew every three years through continuing education.
Which companies hire real estate agents in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma real estate roles are posted by Homestead &, The Ashley, and Love’s Travel Stops and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Oklahoma City and Tulsa have the deepest hiring pools, with both independent boutique brokerages and national franchise offices regularly bringing on new agents and support staff.
Which Oklahoma cities have the most real estate jobs?
Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Edmond lead Oklahoma in real estate openings. Oklahoma City dominates because of its size, ongoing residential development, and a large commercial sector anchored by energy, healthcare, and government employers, while Tulsa's strong industrial and arts district revitalization continues to draw both residential and commercial activity that keeps brokerage and property management roles active.
Are there remote real estate jobs in Oklahoma?
Yes, but they are rare. Real estate work is inherently location-dependent, requiring in-person showings, inspections, and closings for most roles. About 38% of real estate openings tied to Oklahoma are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions tend to be in transaction coordination, property management administration, or real estate marketing rather than active sales or brokerage.
How can I get hired in real estate in Oklahoma with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is obtaining your Oklahoma salesperson license and joining a brokerage that offers structured mentorship for new agents, such as larger franchise offices in Oklahoma City or Tulsa that run formal new-agent training programs. Roles like transaction coordinator, leasing consultant, or property management assistant at commercial and residential management companies also open the door without a full sales background. Building a local farm area and completing the Oklahoma post-license education early signals commitment to hiring brokers.
Where can I find and apply to real estate jobs in Oklahoma?
