Village Motor Works is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Automotive Service Advisor.

We are not looking for someone who already knows everything about cars. We are looking for someone with the right personality, a strong work ethic, outstanding communication skills, and a genuine desire to learn the automotive service business.

We can teach you the automotive industry. We need you to bring the personality, enthusiasm, and customer service skills!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Initially, you will work directly with our Store Manager, learning the business from the ground up. Your responsibilities will include:

· Answering incoming calls with enthusiasm, courtesy, and professionalism

· Greeting customers and making them feel welcome and appreciated

· Assisting the Store Manager with daily customer service and shop operations

· Learning how a professional automotive repair facility operates

· Communicating with customers and helping coordinate their service needs

· Developing your automotive knowledge and customer service skills

As your knowledge and abilities grow, you will be trained to:

· Write and manage automotive repair orders

· Explain recommended repairs and maintenance services to customers

· Present estimates and obtain customer authorization

· Sell automotive repairs and maintenance services

· Coordinate repair work between customers and technicians

· Eventually become a fully qualified Automotive Service Advisor

EXCEPTIONAL PEOPLE SKILLS You must genuinely enjoy working with people. You should be naturally friendly, approachable, courteous, and capable of making customers feel comfortable.

EMPATHY, PATIENCE & PROFESSIONALISM Automotive repairs can be stressful, inconvenient, and expensive. You must be able to handle upset or frustrated customers calmly, showing genuine empathy, understanding, and a willingness to help resolve their concerns.

OUTSTANDING TELEPHONE SKILLS You must speak clearly, confidently, and professionally. The ability to listen carefully, communicate plainly, and carry on a pleasant, intelligent conversation is essential.

HIGH ENERGY & A POSITIVE ATTITUDE We want someone who brings enthusiasm to work every day, enjoys staying busy, takes initiative, and is excited about learning new things.

PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE & PRESENTATION You will be one of the faces of our business. A neat, clean, well-groomed, and professional appearance is essential.

A GENUINE INTEREST IN AUTOMOBILES You do not need mechanical experience, but you must have a real interest in cars and be excited about learning the automotive repair and service industry.

DEPENDABILITY & WILLINGNESS TO LEARN You must be punctual, organized, attentive to detail, receptive to coaching, and committed to becoming an important member of our team.

THIS IS A CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT POSITION - NOT A HANDS-ON AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN POSITION.

We are specifically seeking someone who wants to build a career working with customers, managing service operations, and eventually becoming a professional Automotive Service Advisor.

Previous automotive experience is NOT REQUIRED.
