Registered Nurse Case Manager Jobs in Austin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a registered nurse case manager job in Austin?
Austin's strongest hiring comes from its large health systems, managed care plans, and home health agencies, particularly around the Domain and North Austin medical campuses. Candidates with acute care experience and a CCM credential move faster through the process here. Tailoring your resume to utilization review or discharge planning language catches attention with Austin's insurance-side employers, who make up a significant share of local openings.
Which companies hire registered nurse case managers in Austin?
Austin registered nurse case manager roles are posted by Hospice Austin, St. David's HealthCare, and Harbor Healthcare System and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Austin's mix of regional hospital networks, national insurance carriers with local operations, and growing home health and telehealth companies means openings appear across both clinical and payer settings.
How can I get a registered nurse case manager job in Austin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Austin is through a hospital-based care coordination or discharge planning role, where large health systems often hire RNs transitioning from med-surg or telemetry floors. Austin's home health agencies also bring on nurses with limited case management experience and provide on-the-job training. Volunteering for utilization review tasks in your current unit and pursuing a CCM exam-prep course strengthens your candidacy significantly with local payer and system employers.
Which industries hire the most registered nurse case managers in Austin?
The sectors hiring the most registered nurse case managers in Austin are Healthcare & Medical Services, Insurance, and Government & Public Sector, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Austin's rapid population growth and expansion of both regional hospital networks and national managed care operations have made it one of the more active markets in Texas for this specialty.
