Tips for Your Remote Advertising Sales Manager Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote advertising sales manager openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your background and apply directly. Remote roles at recognized digital media and ad tech companies fill fast, so getting your application in early matters.
Prove your async communication skills upfront
Remote advertising sales managers close deals almost entirely through written follow-up, proposals, and video calls. Highlight specific examples of winning accounts through email sequences or async presentations in your application materials, not just quota numbers.
Show your CRM and ad platform fluency
Remote hiring managers screen for hands-on experience with CRM tools like Salesforce and ad platforms like Google Ad Manager or The Trade Desk. Name the platforms you've used and what you accomplished with them, not just that you used them.
Target remote-first media companies directly
Remote-first digital publishers and programmatic networks post remote advertising sales roles more consistently than hybrid employers. Prioritize companies whose distributed team structure is built into how they operate, not just a temporary policy, so remote support is already in place.
Prepare a remote-readiness pitch for interviews
Remote advertising sales manager interviews often include direct questions about how you manage a pipeline, follow up with prospects, and hit targets without office accountability. Prepare two or three specific examples that show independent deal management from prospecting through close.
Remote Advertising Sales Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote advertising sales manager job?
Remote advertising sales manager roles go to candidates who can demonstrate self-directed pipeline management and clear written communication, since you won't have a manager walking the floor to check in. Ad tech platforms, digital publishers, and programmatic networks are the most consistent remote hirers. A history of closing deals in a distributed environment, strong async follow-up skills, and fluency with CRM tools give you a real edge over candidates who only have in-office experience.
Which companies hire remote advertising sales managers?
Companies hiring remote advertising sales managers right now include Opera Software, Axios, and Decided Excellence Catholic Media, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These tend to be remote-first media companies, ad tech platforms, and digital publishing groups that already run distributed revenue teams and don't require candidates to be in a central office.
Can you get a remote advertising sales manager job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level advertising sales manager roles are harder to land because employers expect you to manage your own pipeline and client communication without close supervision from day one. Smaller digital publishers and ad tech startups are more open to entry-level remote candidates. Showing a history of self-directed project work, a portfolio of cold outreach results, or a completed advertising or media sales course can substitute for direct experience.
Do you need a degree for remote advertising sales manager jobs?
Not always. Remote employers in digital advertising weigh demonstrated sales results, familiarity with programmatic and direct-sold advertising, and the ability to manage accounts independently more heavily than a specific degree. Candidates who can show consistent quota attainment, client retention records, or relevant certifications in ad platforms regularly get hired without a four-year degree in a related field.
Which industries hire the most remote advertising sales managers?
Remote advertising sales manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Music, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors rely on distributed revenue teams that sell digital inventory, sponsorships, or programmatic placements to national advertisers without needing everyone in the same office.
