Description
MPLC provides a legal way to show movies and TV in public or commercial spaces across the globe. Our business has been running for 30 years, and we are the number one trusted partner to studios and producers for public performance licensing. We work with every major Hollywood studio and hundreds of independents, and we work hard to educate organizations about the importance of respecting copyright. MPLC is a key player in the entertainment and intellectual property ecosystem.
Our aim is to allow companies to use great movie and programming content while ensuring that content creators get paid fairly for their work.
The job in two bullet points:
- Help businesses secure the legal rights they need to show movies and TV in public and commercial spaces — and grow MPLC’s customer base in the process.
- Own a high-volume outbound sales desk: prospecting, cold calling, and closing new SMB accounts across the U.S.
If you need a bit more information...
Join a growing outbound sales team at MPLC. As an Small Business Account Executive, you will take ownership of the full sales cycle — from prospecting and cold outreach to closing — helping businesses get the licensing they need to show content compliantly. This role is built for a resilient, motivated self-starter who thrives on volume, embraces the challenge of a cold pipeline, and takes pride in hitting and exceeding their numbers.
You will love this job if…
Let's be honest!
This is a high-activity role with real KPIs — daily call and email targets across PST, MST, CST, and EST time zones. Some days the results won’t match the effort. You’ll need to be comfortable with that and come back the next day ready to go. Monthly and quarterly targets are real, and we’ll hold you to them.
- A communicator — thoughtful and empathetic with prospects and teammates alike
- Persistent and resilient — you bounce back from rejection and keep moving
- Decisive — you move quickly and make calls without needing hand-holding
- Experienced in sales or cold calling (preferred, not required)
- Comfortable with tech sales tools — Outreach, Gong, and Salesforce are a plus
- A team player — collaborative, but self-sufficient in a fully remote environment
Benefits
- $60,000 base salary + uncapped commission (OTE $100,000)
- Fully remote — work from anywhere in the U.S.
- Comprehensive health insurance package (medical, dental, sick pay)
- 401(k) retirement plan
- 15 days paid vacation

Tips for Your Remote Business Account Executive Job Search
Quantify pipeline and quota attainment
Hiring managers for business account executive roles want to see numbers. Replace vague claims with specific quota attainment percentages, average deal sizes, and pipeline values you owned. Reps who show measurable revenue impact get interviews faster than those who list responsibilities.
Tailor your resume to each vertical
A SaaS business account executive role expects different language than one in logistics or financial services. Mirror the vertical's terminology on your resume, whether that means ARR and churn for software roles or freight volume and lane coverage for supply chain positions.
Filter openings by market segment focus
Business account executive titles cover wildly different scopes. Search specifically for SMB, mid-market, or enterprise qualifiers to avoid applying to roles where the deal cycle or account size doesn't match your actual experience. Mismatched segment experience is a common rejection reason.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists business account executive openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Prepare a territory and ramp plan
Many business account executive interviews include a 30-60-90 day plan exercise. Outline how you'd map your territory, prioritize accounts, and hit early pipeline targets. Candidates who bring a structured ramp plan to the final round close significantly more offers.
Negotiate comp structure, not just base
Business account executive offers involve variable comp, accelerators, and sometimes equity. Understand the on-target earnings split before accepting. Ask specifically about accelerator rates above quota and whether the commission plan is capped, since uncapped plans meaningfully change the upside.
Remote Business Account Executive Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote business account executive job?
Target companies that already run distributed teams, since they hire remotely by default and know how to onboard someone they never meet in person. Remote business account executive employers screen hard for self-direction and clear written communication on top of the core skills, so show evidence you can own work without someone over your shoulder. Apply to the openings above that match your experience.
Which companies hire remote business account executives?
Remote business account executive roles are posted by CVS Health, Ingersoll-Rand, and Fourlane and others right now, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Remote-first firms and large companies running distributed teams post the most remote business account executive roles.
Can you get a remote business account executive job with no experience?
Yes, but it is harder than an on-site role, because remote work expects you to operate independently from the start. Entry-level remote business account executive openings do exist, especially at remote-first companies, and a portfolio of real work helps more than a long resume. Applying broadly to the roles that fit improves your odds.
Do you need a degree for remote business account executive jobs?
Not always. Many employers hire remote business account executives on demonstrated skills and prior work rather than a specific degree, though some larger companies still prefer one. Showing relevant results matters more than a credential for most remote business account executive roles.
Which industries hire the most remote business account executives?
The sectors hiring the most remote business account executives are Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Manufacturing, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors run distributed teams and hire business account executives remotely most consistently.
