:
What you’ll do:
Meet goals and milestones associated with improving ZS’s standing and impact within the AI labs ecosystem, including but not limited to:
- Own alliance performance and governance: Track KPIs across pipeline, revenue, and engagement; define success metrics and establish operating rhythms to measure the impact of AI Partnership initiatives
- Develop and execute partner strategy: Define annual plans, priorities, and growth plays; lead QBRs and drive follow-through on joint initiatives focused on scaling generative AI adoption
- Drive co-sell pipeline and revenue: Partner with ZS teams and Partner sellers to identify, shape, and progress opportunities; support commercial alignment and deal execution across client engagements
- Expand joint solutions and GTM: Identify priority use cases (generative AI, LLM applications, automation, analytics); develop scalable joint offerings and repeatable client propositions
- Deepen partner engagement and account alignment: Build relationships across both organizations; lead account mapping, introductions, and whitespace identification to accelerate growth
- Strengthen credentials and visibility: Build ZS's reputation as a leader with our partners in AI powered solutions through case studies, thought leadership, and external visibility
- Enable internal teams: Coordinate training and ongoing enablement to build AI Partnership fluency across ZS sellers, delivery teams, and client-facing stakeholders

- 8-10+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience
- 5+ years of experience selling enterprise technology solutions or platforms, preferably with exposure to AI, data, or cloud ecosystems
- Experience building and scaling strategic alliances with technology partners, including co-sell motions, executive relationships, joint business planning, and partner marketing
- Enough technical fluency to be credible in architecture-level discussions — you don't need to write code, but you can follow the conversation and ask the right follow-up questions when a partner architect walks through how they are applying AI solutions to a customer problem
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams and building processes to drive joint initiatives forward
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience with hyperscaler or cloud ecosystem partnerships (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure) considered in lieu of direct experience with AI Lab partnerships

Tips for Your Remote Partner Development Manager Job Search
Quantify your partner-sourced revenue
Hiring managers for this role want to see numbers tied to partner-influenced pipeline, not just relationship-building activities. Pull co-sell revenue, partner-sourced deal counts, or channel attach rates from your past roles and lead your resume bullets with those figures.
Tailor applications to partner motion type
Resellers, technology alliances, and systems integrators each require a different skill set. Read each job posting for clues about which partner model the company runs, then mirror that language in your resume and cover letter so your experience maps directly to their motion.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists partner development manager openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Highlight cross-functional deal experience
Partner roles sit at the intersection of sales, product, and marketing. On your resume, call out specific examples where you aligned internal teams to close a joint deal or launch a co-marketing program, because interviewers will probe exactly those scenarios.
Prep a partner business review example
Many interview processes for this role include a business review presentation or a role-play with a fictional partner. Prepare a real example of a quarterly business review you ran, the metrics you tracked, and how you moved a stagnant partner to active selling status.
Negotiate on variable compensation structure
Partner development manager offers often include a partner-influenced or sourced bonus on top of base pay. Before accepting, clarify how partner attribution is tracked and whether the variable component is tied to outcomes you directly control versus shared team targets.
Remote Partner Development Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote partner development manager job?
Target companies that already run distributed teams, since they hire remotely by default and know how to onboard someone they never meet in person. Remote partner development manager employers screen hard for self-direction and clear written communication on top of the core skills, so show evidence you can own work without someone over your shoulder. Apply to the openings above that match your experience.
Which companies hire remote partner development managers?
Companies hiring remote partner development managers include ETAP Software, TTEC Digital, and AvePoint, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Remote-first firms and large companies running distributed teams post the most remote partner development manager roles.
Can you get a remote partner development manager job with no experience?
Yes, but it is harder than an on-site role, because remote work expects you to operate independently from the start. Entry-level remote partner development manager openings do exist, especially at remote-first companies, and a portfolio of real work helps more than a long resume. Applying broadly to the roles that fit improves your odds.
Do you need a degree for remote partner development manager jobs?
Not always. Many employers hire remote partner development managers on demonstrated skills and prior work rather than a specific degree, though some larger companies still prefer one. Showing relevant results matters more than a credential for most remote partner development manager roles.
Which industries hire the most remote partner development managers?
The sectors hiring the most remote partner development managers are Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Banking & Financial Services, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors run distributed teams and hire partner development managers remotely most consistently.
