Senior Partnerships Lead - New York/East Coast | Remote
The Mission
We are building the engine that powers our partners’ growth. You are not here to "manage a channel." You are here to build a repeatable, scalable, and automated sales machine. You are a Builder-Seller: an expert who understands our technical product well enough to handle introductory, product focused conversations, and a hunter who knows how to drive the sales outcome. Our ecosystem is primarily composed of VARs, MSPs, and SIs. Your success is defined by their success. You are the architect of that relationship.
The Scoreboard (Lag Measures)
Success is binary and measurable. You own these three outcomes:
- New Bookings: You are accountable for the revenue generated through your partners.
- Partner-Sourced Pipeline: You are the bridge. We don't want "fluff"; we want high-quality, qualified opportunities formally accepted by Fastly.
- Active/Engaged Partners: We prioritize depth over breadth. You own the health and activity level of your partner portfolio.
The Daily Work (Lead Measures)
You don't get the outcomes above without the inputs. You are expected to operate with high agency on:
- Co-Selling: You are in the room. You provide the technical and sales support to help partners close their deals.
- Enablement: You ensure our partners’ teams are smarter than our competitors’. You deliver the playbooks, training, and technical confidence they need to lead with Fastly.
- Co-Marketing: You execute "Marketing to, through, and with" your partners. You don't just "do" marketing; you drive pipeline-generating events and campaigns.
- Machine Building: You identify the operational "bugs" in our deal registration or onboarding processes and you fix them. You don't wait for permission; you build the better way.
The Individual We Are Looking For
- Deeply Technical, Commercially Driven: You can explain WAF, bot detection, and edge infrastructure to an engineer, then switch gears to explain the financial model (rebates, margins, MDF) to a business owner.
- Builder-at-Heart: You prefer fixing an underlying process once for everyone over executing a manual workaround ten times. You use data to identify where the friction is.
- High-Agency Owner: You don’t need a task list. You see a gap in partner engagement, you build the fix, and you report the result.
- Ecosystem Fluent: You have significant experience working with VARs, MSPs, and SIs. You understand the unique economics of their business and how to make Fastly a foundational part of their service offering.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ Years Experience: Proven track record as a high-agency individual contributor in cloud, edge, or enterprise software.
- Ecosystem Expert: 3+ years of direct experience driving revenue within the VAR/MSP/SI ecosystem.
- Autonomy: A history of driving cross-functional alignment without formal authority.
- Technical Credibility: Deep understanding of the modern stack: WAF, DDoS, Edge Infrastructure, and serverless compute.

Tips for Your Remote Partnerships Manager Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote partnerships manager openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your background and apply directly without sorting through unrelated listings.
Show your async communication skills upfront
Remote partnerships employers screen for written communication above almost everything else. Include a cold outreach sample, a partner brief, or a structured deal memo in your application materials to prove you can move relationships forward without a meeting.
Highlight tools you use to manage distributed partners
Name the platforms you've used to track partner pipelines, co-sell agreements, and referral attribution, such as Crossbeam, PartnerStack, Salesforce, or HubSpot. Remote teams want to know you can run a partner program without needing someone to walk you through the stack.
Frame past work around outcomes you owned remotely
Remote hiring managers want evidence you drove results without in-person access to partners or internal teams. Quantify the agreements you closed, the revenue attributed to your channel, or the integrations you launched while working across time zones.
Prepare for remote interviews with structured deal stories
Remote partnerships interviews typically focus on how you manage the full partner lifecycle from prospecting to activation without relying on face-to-face contact. Prepare two or three concise stories covering how you identified a partner, moved the relationship forward asynchronously, and measured the outcome.
Remote Partnerships Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote partnerships manager job?
Target remote-first companies and distributed teams in SaaS, fintech, and media, where partnerships work is built around async collaboration rather than in-person meetings. Remote employers screen for self-direction, clear written communication, and the ability to build and manage partner relationships without face time. A documented history of owning partner programs, closing co-sell or referral agreements, and moving deals forward independently gives you a strong edge.
Which companies hire remote partnerships managers?
Remote partnerships manager roles are posted by Ingersoll-Rand, Siemens, and Molex and others right now, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These tend to be remote-first software companies, distributed fintech and media platforms, and growth-stage startups that run partner programs across multiple regions without a central office.
Can you get a remote partnerships manager job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level partnerships roles are harder to land because you're expected to work independently from day one with minimal hand-holding. Companies hiring entry-level remote partnerships managers tend to be early-stage startups building their first partner programs. You can stand out by showing relevant work such as managing affiliate or referral programs, volunteer business development, or strong async communication skills demonstrated through writing samples or structured outreach campaigns.
Do you need a degree for remote partnerships manager jobs?
Not always. Remote employers weigh demonstrated results over credentials for this role, so a portfolio of closed partner deals, managed integrations, or grown referral programs carries significant weight. What matters most is showing you can build relationships, communicate clearly in writing, and move partnerships forward without direct oversight, whether or not you have a formal degree.
Which industries hire the most remote partnerships managers?
Remote partnerships manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Manufacturing, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors rely on distributed partner ecosystems, reseller networks, and integration partnerships that don't require on-site presence to manage.
