Restaurant General Manager Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a restaurant general manager job in Atlanta?
Focus your search on Atlanta's highest-density dining corridors: Midtown, Buckhead, Inman Park, and the Beltline-adjacent neighborhoods where full-service and upscale casual concepts cluster. Hospitality groups managing multiple Atlanta locations hire most actively, and candidates with P&L ownership experience and a proven ability to retain hourly staff in a competitive market stand out. Food and Beverage manager roles at hotels and large venues are another strong entry point.
Which companies hire restaurant general managers in Atlanta?
Companies currently hiring restaurant general managers in Atlanta include Cook Out Restaurants, Zaxby's, and Taco Bell, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Atlanta's market is driven by a mix of multi-unit hospitality groups, hotel food and beverage operations, and nationally expanding fast-casual brands with significant Atlanta footprints.
Are there remote restaurant general manager jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, but rarely: restaurant general manager work is fundamentally hands-on and floor-based, so fully remote roles are uncommon. About 0% of restaurant general manager openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those tend to be corporate-facing roles such as multi-unit or district oversight positions where travel to Atlanta-area locations substitutes for a single fixed site.
How can I get a restaurant general manager job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic path in Atlanta is moving up through assistant general manager or front-of-house supervisor roles at high-volume concepts in Buckhead or Midtown, where turnover creates frequent internal promotion opportunities. Fast-casual chains with Atlanta operations hire entry-level managers more readily than fine dining groups. Completing a culinary or hospitality management certificate through Georgia State or Atlanta Technical College can accelerate consideration from local multi-unit operators.
