Restaurant Assistant Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a restaurant assistant manager in Georgia?
The most direct path is to build hands-on restaurant experience, then complete a ServSafe Food Manager certification, which Georgia requires food service managers to hold under Georgia Department of Public Health rules. No separate state management license exists for the role. Most Georgia employers expect candidates to have worked in a lead server, shift supervisor, or kitchen supervisor role before stepping into assistant management, with larger chains offering internal promotion tracks.
Which companies hire restaurant assistant managers in Georgia?
Companies currently hiring restaurant assistant managers in Georgia include Burger King, Kura Sushi, and Vision Foods, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's deep concentration of franchise operators, hotel dining programs, and regional chains means openings appear consistently rather than seasonally.
Which Georgia cities have the most restaurant assistant manager jobs?
Atlanta, Dunwoody, and Alpharetta have the most restaurant assistant manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta drives the largest share by far given its size, convention business, and density of full-service and fast-casual concepts, while Savannah's tourism economy and Augusta's event and hospital district keep demand steady in those markets.
Are there remote restaurant assistant manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, but they're rare. About 0% of restaurant assistant manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting that the role is fundamentally hands-on and floor-present. The portions of the work most likely to allow off-site flexibility are scheduling, vendor ordering, and administrative reporting.
How can I get hired as a restaurant assistant manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting in a high-volume lead role, such as shift supervisor, key holder, or lead server, at a Georgia-based chain or hotel food and beverage outlet and moving up internally. Large employers like Darden and Marriott-managed dining programs run structured assistant manager trainee programs in Georgia that accept candidates without prior management titles. Earning a ServSafe Food Manager certification before applying gives candidates a concrete edge in the screening process.
Where can I find and apply to restaurant assistant manager jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to restaurant assistant manager jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings. Search the listings, find the roles that match your experience and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
