Job Summary
As an Assistant Manager - Restaurant, you’ll help lead daily operations and keep service, food quality, and team performance on track. You’ll work across the dining room and kitchen, support staff development, and help manage inventory, budgets, and food safety. Your impact: By coordinating a well-prepared team and consistent service, you help guests enjoy a positive dining experience while supporting smooth restaurant operations.
Duties
- Supervise shifts, schedule, and maintain front of house operations.
- Deliver customer service and uphold food handling and food safety standards across restaurant, bar, catering, and banquet operations as applicable.
- Manage inventory control, cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and routine profit and loss analysis and budgeting.
- Interview, train, and develop team members; communicate expectations and provide hands-on team leadership.
- Support restaurant management and food service management by monitoring daily operations and addressing service or staffing needs.
Requirements
- Experience in restaurant, food service, hospitality, or kitchen operations; assistant manager or supervising experience is valuable.
- Skills in management, shift management, team management, managerial communication, staff training, and training and development.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, food management, food safety management, inventory control, cash handling, basic math, and POS systems. Aloha POS or Micros POS experience is a plus.
- Background in quick service or fast food, casual dining, or fine dining is welcome; serving, bar, banquet, catering, culinary, or broader food industry experience is also relevant.
- Hospitality management, kitchen management, restaurant management, budgeting, and profit and loss analysis experience are preferred.
Pay: $48,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
