Healthcare Revenue Cycle Analyst | Atlanta | Hybrid

Our analytics team plays an important role in turning complex revenue cycle data into meaningful insights that improve reimbursement, reduce denials, lower A/R, and strengthen client performance.
We’re looking for an experienced Healthcare Revenue Cycle Analyst to join our North Atlanta team as we continue to grow. This is a role for someone who understands healthcare revenue cycle performance, is highly analytical, and can translate data into practical recommendations. You’ll work closely with Revenue Cycle Operations, Client Services, Technology, and leadership to develop reporting and analytics solutions that help Phytest and our clients perform at their best.

What you’ll own
Revenue cycle analytics & performance
- Capture, track, and analyze key company and client revenue cycle performance indicators
- Monitor trends in reimbursement, denials, A/R, collections, and other key revenue cycle metrics
- Audit outbound claims files to ensure compliance with billing rules for clients, and audit and validate remittance results to identify opportunities to improve performance, reduce denial rates, and lower A/R
- Analyze data to identify trends, variances, root causes, and opportunities for operational improvement
- Develop recommendations based on analytical findings and support the implementation of best practices
Client reporting & performance
- Support the development and maintenance of reporting packages and dashboards that provide meaningful visibility into client performance
- Partner with Client Services and Revenue Cycle Operations to identify and report on key client performance metrics
- Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for internal teams and clients
- Support client-facing reporting, presentations, and initiatives as needed
- Promote internal visibility into client success through consistent and reliable performance reporting
Business intelligence & reporting
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using SQL, SSRS, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft or web-based reporting tools
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, including views and stored procedures
- Work with business users to gather, define, design, and document reporting requirements
- Work with Revenue Cycle Operations and Technology teams to understand data structures, workflows, and system capabilities
- Perform quality assurance and ongoing maintenance of new and existing reports and dashboards
- Develop financial models and perform data mining and ad hoc analysis to support business decisions
Technology & process improvement
- Work cross-functionally to develop and implement new technology and reporting solutions
- Identify opportunities to incorporate analytical findings into improved workflows and business processes
- Partner with technology and operational teams to improve data quality, reporting capabilities, and access to actionable information
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the revenue cycle
- Support Phytest’s patient- and client-facing initiatives, as needed
You may be a great fit if you have
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Healthcare Management, Information Systems, or a related field
- 1–3 years of business experience in the healthcare industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of the key drivers of physician reimbursement and healthcare revenue cycle performance
- Understanding of healthcare reimbursement trends and the factors that impact reimbursement, denials, and A/R
- 1–3 years of experience developing reporting packages, dashboards, or business intelligence solutions using Microsoft or web-based tools
- Experience developing SQL queries, including query optimization, views, and stored procedures
- Proficiency with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience creating financial models and performing data mining
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to effectively present reporting and analytical results to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to translate analytical findings into practical workflow and business improvements
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Revenue Cycle Operations, Technology, Client Services, and leadership
- Prior experience with Allscripts practice management systems is a plus
- Familiarity with Centricity, eClinicalWorks, athenahealth, or other practice management systems is a plus
