Job Description:
AmeriCare Home Health is urgently seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a medically fragile 5-month-old pediatric patient in the home setting. This is a high-acuity GAPP case requiring excellent clinical judgment, strong pediatric assessment skills, and experience caring for medically complex, technology-dependent infants.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one skilled nursing care to a pediatric patient in the home setting.
- Monitor and manage seizure activity, ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Provide total care to a wheelchair-bound, completely dependent patient.
- Administer medications and manage prescribed treatments per care plan.
- Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly with the care team.
- Educate and support the family regarding the patient’s care and condition.
- Follow infection control and patient safety protocols strictly.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia (Required)
- Current CPR Certification (Required)
- Minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience strongly preferred
- Experience caring for medically complex, technology-dependent pediatric patients is highly preferred
- Experience with respiratory support, including HFNC, CPAP, BiPAP, tracheostomy, or ventilator care preferred
- Experience with enteral feeding (NG/G-tube), medication administration, and pediatric assessments preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to recognize and respond quickly to changes in respiratory and overall patient condition
- Excellent clinical judgment and attention to detail
- Professional, reliable, punctual, and compassionate
