About Bryan Companies

Bryan Companies is a growing, locally owned construction company specializing in commercial and residential roofing, exterior improvements, flooring, and interior remodeling. As our commercial roofing division expands, we are seeking an experienced professional to own estimating, purchasing, submittals, and project coordination.

Position Overview

This role manages commercial roofing projects from initial bidding through preconstruction and project execution support. The successful candidate will prepare accurate estimates, coordinate procurement and documentation, and travel to jobsites as needed for field verification, meetings, and coordination.

Commercial Roofing Estimating & Bidding

• Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and construction documents.

• Complete detailed material and labor takeoffs for commercial roofing projects.

• Estimate TPO, EPDM, PVC, insulation, tapered systems, cover boards, flashing, coping, edge metal, and accessories.

• Obtain supplier and subcontractor pricing; prepare proposals, bid packages, and scope clarifications.

• Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, and value-engineering opportunities.

• Manage bid deadlines, track outstanding proposals, and price change orders.

Material Purchasing & Procurement

• Prepare material lists and purchase orders based on approved estimates.

• Verify materials meet specifications and manufacturer requirements.

• Coordinate supplier pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery with production management.

• Track orders, resolve shortages, and identify purchasing savings.

Submittals & Preconstruction Documentation

• Prepare and track product data, technical sheets, samples, and complete submittal packages.

• Verify specification compliance and coordinate revisions and approvals.

• Assist with manufacturer warranty applications and required documentation.

• Maintain organized project records before procurement and installation.

Project Coordination & Handoffs

• Lead detailed project handoffs covering scope, quantities, labor, schedule, and margins.

• Coordinate with sales, production, suppliers, and general contractors.

• Support scheduling and respond to estimating-related field questions.

• Document scope changes and support additional-work pricing.

Jobsite Visits & Field Coordination

• Travel to commercial jobsites as needed, including occasional overnight trips.

• Verify site conditions, measurements, and installation constraints.

• Attend preconstruction and coordination meetings and help resolve field questions.

• Identify issues that could affect project cost, scope, quality, or schedule.

Required Qualifications

• Commercial roofing estimating experience and strong knowledge of low-slope TPO and EPDM systems.

• Ability to interpret plans and specifications and perform accurate takeoffs.

• Understanding of roofing installation methods, labor requirements, and materials.

• Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and deadline management.

• Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and construction technology.

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to jobsites as needed. Preferred

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of commercial roofing estimating or project coordination experience.

• Familiarity with Carlisle, Versico, Elevate, or similar manufacturers.

• Experience with submittals, purchasing, warranty requirements, and commercial GC coordination.
