Project Coordinator — Siding & Roofing
Global Roofing
About the role
Global Roofing is hiring a Project Coordinator to support our Operations Manager and keep siding and roofing jobs running smoothly. You'll be the connective tissue between customers, crews, vendors, and municipalities — making sure permits get pulled, materials show up on time, dumpsters are staged, and homeowners always know what's next.
If you like variety, thrive on juggling moving pieces, and get real satisfaction out of a job that stays closed once it's closed, this is a great seat.
What you'll do
- Pull building permits with local municipalities and track them through approval and final inspection
- Order dumpsters, portable toilets, and other jobsite logistics; schedule drop-off and pickup around crew calendars
- Coordinate with material vendors on orders, delivery windows, backorders, and returns
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers before, during, and after their project — answering questions, setting expectations, and following up after completion
- Communicate schedules, changes, and updates to crews, subcontractors, and the sales team
- Maintain accurate job files, permit records, warranties, and vendor documentation
- Assist the Operations Manager with daily scheduling, quality checks, and job close-out
- Troubleshoot the small fires — a shingle order that's short, a rescheduled inspection, a homeowner with a question — and keep things moving
What we're looking for
- 2–5 years of experience in project coordination, construction administration, or a similar operations role (roofing, siding, or exterior remodeling strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with the permitting process in [your state / region], or a proven ability to learn municipal systems quickly
- Excellent communication skills — you can explain a delay to a homeowner and negotiate a delivery window with a vendor in the same afternoon
- Strong organizational skills; comfortable managing 15+ active projects at once without dropping details
- Solid computer skills — email, spreadsheets, and a CRM or project management tool
What we offer
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Paid time off, and paid holidays
- A tight-knit team that gets things done and treats each other well
Pay: $55,700.00 - $65,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Paid time off
Work Location: In person

Roofing Jobs in Rhode Island: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a roofing in Rhode Island?
To work as a roofing contractor in Rhode Island, you or your employer must hold a contractor registration issued through the Rhode Island Contractors' Registration and Licensing Board. Most roofers enter the trade through an apprenticeship with a registered contractor or through a union program such as those affiliated with the United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers. Completing an apprenticeship and obtaining OSHA safety training are the standard steps before working independently on Rhode Island job sites.
Which companies hire roofings in Rhode Island?
Companies currently hiring roofings in Rhode Island include Allstar Home Services, Rooftop Power, and Tecta America, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Rhode Island's dense residential neighborhoods and aging commercial building stock keep demand consistent with local and regional contractors throughout the year.
Which Rhode Island cities have the most roofing jobs?
Warwick, Cumberland, and Providence have the most roofing openings in Rhode Island. Providence drives volume as the state's largest city with a high concentration of older residential properties and active commercial renovation projects, while Cranston and Warwick attract roofing work through their large suburban housing stock and proximity to major contractors based in the Greater Providence area.
Are there remote roofing jobs in Rhode Island?
Yes, but they're rare. Roofing is a hands-on trade that requires physical presence on job sites, so remote work is not typical for most roles. About 50% of roofing openings tied to Rhode Island are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions are almost always in estimating, project coordination, or sales rather than installation work.
How can I get hired as a roofing in Rhode Island with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying as a roofing laborer or helper with a registered Rhode Island contractor willing to train on the job. Many mid-size contractors in Providence and Warwick hire helpers with no prior roofing experience, especially during the busy spring and summer seasons. Completing an OSHA 10 construction safety course before applying gives candidates a clear edge, and connecting with the local chapter of the United Union of Roofers can open formal apprenticeship opportunities that provide structured paid training from the start.
Where can I find and apply to roofing jobs in Rhode Island?
You can find and apply to roofing jobs in Rhode Island on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring across the state right now. Search the listings, find roles that match your experience and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
