ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Retail Sales and Operations Associate will manage key sales and marketing activities for the Retail Sales Team including business performance tracking / analysis and project implementation. In addition, this position will assist in the evaluation of overall business performance specifically related to retail sales and marketing and make recommendations on strategy and tactics to management. This position will be responsible for developing strategies and tactics and making recommendations to management for on-line sales through homedepot.com.
- Track and analyze Home Depot sales and margin performance and make recommendations to drive continued growth in both metrics.
- Participate in strategic sales planning by preparing and presenting financial reports and results and making recommendations on overall sales strategies and tactics for Home Depot, including promotions, refreshes and on-line sales.
- Provide competitive and market analysis, complete price shops, document and communicate competitive promotional activity to management. Recommend pricing strategies to management.
- Participate in developing and implementation of overall sales strategies, including running financial reports and results of sales activities.
- Participate in the preparation for Key Meetings with Home Depot including analysis and presentation preparation.
- Support Service Manager with store level data and market performance to maximize Store Call effectiveness.
- Provide Merchants and Store Associates with prompt responses as questions arise, typically over the phone. Address price variances, support customer service with charge-backs and deductions. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree in Business or related field and two (2) years of Sales/Marketing related experience, including analysis, research and report preparation.
- Demonstrate Strong Initiative and Problem Solving Skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
- Results Oriented and Strong Work Ethic.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication Skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects at once and interface with all levels of management.
PHYSICAL DEMAND REQUIREMENTS
Occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
