Sales Development Manager Jobs in Columbus: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales development manager job in Columbus?
The strongest hiring in Columbus comes from software companies, insurance carriers, healthcare technology firms, and financial services providers clustered Downtown, in the Short North, and around Easton. Candidates who stand out typically bring a mix of outbound pipeline experience, familiarity with CRM platforms, and comfort managing a team of SDRs. Targeting mid-size growth companies in Columbus's expanding tech corridor tends to open the most doors.
Which companies hire sales development managers in Columbus?
Companies currently hiring sales development managers in Columbus include Vertiv, NAPA Auto Parts, and FedEx, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Columbus draws a mix of national employers with regional offices and homegrown technology and insurance companies that regularly build out their sales development teams locally.
Are there remote sales development manager jobs in Columbus?
Yes, though fully remote roles are less common for sales development managers than for individual contributors, since the position often requires direct oversight of an SDR team. About 38% of sales development manager openings tied to Columbus are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common among Columbus-based software and fintech employers.
How can I get a sales development manager job in Columbus with little or no experience?
The most realistic path in Columbus is moving up from a senior SDR or account executive role within one of the city's many software or insurance companies, where internal promotions to team lead or manager are common. Columbus employers in fintech and healthcare technology frequently hire first-time managers from their own SDR ranks, so building a strong performance record locally and expressing interest in leadership early puts you in a strong position.
Which industries hire the most sales development managers in Columbus?
The sectors hiring the most sales development managers in Columbus are Media & Entertainment and Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Columbus's concentration of insurance headquarters, regional fintech operations, and a growing software startup scene creates consistent demand for sales development managers who can build and run outbound pipeline teams.
