Sales Director Jobs in Tampa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales director job in Tampa?
The strongest path is targeting Tampa's growth sectors: health technology, cybersecurity, commercial real estate, and financial services firms concentrated in Westshore and Downtown. Employers in these sectors favor candidates with regional account management experience and a proven ability to build teams in competitive markets. Networking through the Tampa Bay Chamber and local industry groups gives you direct access to hiring managers before roles are posted publicly.
Which companies hire sales directors in Tampa?
Employers hiring sales directors in Tampa right now include EY, CBRE, and Jobot, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Tampa's employer mix ranges from large healthcare systems and regional banks to fast-growing SaaS companies and logistics firms, many with their Southeast regional headquarters based in Westshore.
Are there remote sales director jobs in Tampa?
Yes, though sales director roles are less remote-friendly than most, since the position typically requires client meetings, team leadership on-site, and territory coverage. About 71% of sales director openings tied to Tampa are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with remote arrangements most common in SaaS and technology sales where territory management happens digitally rather than in person.
How can I get a sales director job in Tampa with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving up from a senior account executive or regional sales manager role within Tampa's technology or healthcare sectors, where companies actively promote from within. Mid-market SaaS firms in Westshore and healthcare services companies near the Medical District frequently hire sales managers ready to step into director-level responsibility, especially candidates with a demonstrated record of hitting quota in Florida markets.

Tampa sales director roles concentrate in Staffing & Recruiting, Construction & Real Estate, and Investment & Asset Management, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026.
