National Account Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a national account manager in Florida?
The typical path starts with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field, followed by several years in B2B sales or account management roles. Florida does not require a state-issued license specifically for national account managers, so the focus is on building a verifiable record in sales leadership, key account ownership, and revenue growth. Many Florida employers prefer candidates who have worked within their specific industry vertical, whether consumer goods, healthcare, or technology, before stepping into a national account role.
How much do national account managers make in Florida?
National account managers in Florida earn a median of about $62,490 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $36,780 for the lowest 10% to over $127,960 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire national account managers in Florida?
Employers hiring national account managers in Florida right now include Cogent Communications, Everon, and Tyndale, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of headquarters in consumer goods, healthcare distribution, and technology makes it a consistent source of national account openings across multiple industries.
Which Florida cities have the most national account manager jobs?
Florida, Orlando, and Tampa account for the largest share of national account manager openings in Florida. Miami drives demand through its role as a hub for consumer goods, Latin American trade accounts, and retail distribution, while Tampa and Orlando support strong technology and healthcare sector hiring, including several large corporate headquarters and regional offices that manage national retail and distributor relationships.
Are there remote national account manager jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most sales roles, since national account managers spend much of their time managing relationships by phone, video, and CRM rather than on a physical floor. About 58% of national account manager openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-and-travel nature of the role. Strategic account planning, forecasting, and internal coordination are the functions most commonly performed remotely.
How can I get hired as a national account manager in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is landing a territory sales representative or key account associate role at a Florida-based company, then building a record of quota attainment and account retention before moving up. Large Florida employers in consumer packaged goods and healthcare distribution, including companies headquartered in Tampa and Miami, regularly hire sales development representatives as a pipeline into account management. A strong foundation in Salesforce, demonstrated presentation skills, and experience managing even a small regional account portfolio meaningfully improve candidacy.
