Field Sales Consultant Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field sales consultant in Florida?
The path depends on the industry. For insurance field sales, Florida requires a state-issued license through the Florida Department of Financial Services, with separate lines for property and casualty (2-20 or 4-40) and life and health. For medical device or technology sales, no state license is required, but a bachelor's degree and demonstrated sales aptitude matter most. Starting in an inside sales or sales development role at a Florida employer is the most common launch point.
How much do field sales consultants make in Florida?
Field sales consultants in Florida earn a median of about $60,660 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $35,550 for the lowest 10% to over $129,730 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire field sales consultants in Florida?
Employers hiring field sales consultants in Florida right now include Allocated Wine & Spirits, Epos Now, and Henry Schein, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of healthcare systems, insurance carriers, and regional distribution companies means field sales demand stays consistent across the state year-round.
Which Florida cities have the most field sales consultant jobs?
Florida, Miami, and Naples have the most field sales consultant openings in Florida. Miami's density of healthcare, finance, and import-export businesses drives demand there, while Tampa and Orlando anchor strong technology, insurance, and distribution sectors that require large field sales teams to cover their commercial customer bases.
Are there remote field sales consultant jobs in Florida?
Yes, but they're rare. Field sales consultant work is built around in-person territory coverage, client visits, and relationship-building, which limits how much of the role can move remote. About 25% of field sales consultant openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those positions tend to cover pre-sales, account management renewals, or inside-facing support rather than primary territory work.
How can I get hired as a field sales consultant in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a sales development representative or inside sales associate role at a Florida-based employer. Large companies like ADP, Sysco, and regional insurance carriers run structured onboarding programs that move new hires into field roles after demonstrating results inside. Lateral moves from customer service, retail management, or clinical support roles are common, especially in healthcare sales. Earning a Florida insurance license before applying immediately broadens eligibility and signals seriousness to hiring managers.
Where can I find and apply to field sales consultant jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to field sales consultant jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings across industries and metros. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the employers posting them.
