Sales Intern Jobs in Montana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales intern in Montana?
The most direct path is enrolling in a business or marketing program at a Montana university, then applying for intern openings during spring recruiting cycles. Montana does not require a state license for general sales intern roles, though positions in financial services may require candidates to be working toward a FINRA Series license sponsored by the employer. Internships at Billings or Bozeman-based employers are the most common entry point for students without prior sales experience.
Which companies hire sales interns in Montana?
Employers hiring sales interns in Montana right now include Albertsons, Walgreens, and ArborSys, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Montana's agricultural supply, outdoor retail, and regional banking sectors generate the most consistent intern openings outside of seasonal fluctuations.
Which Montana cities have the most sales intern jobs?
Missoula, Bozeman, and Helena account for the largest share of sales intern openings in Montana. Billings leads as the state's commercial center, anchored by energy, agriculture, and regional banking employers, while Missoula and Bozeman drive openings through their university populations, technology startups, and outdoor recreation retail industries.
Are there remote sales intern jobs in Montana?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely analytical fields, since most sales intern roles involve direct client contact, territory coverage, or in-person team mentorship. About 25% of sales intern openings tied to Montana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with hybrid arrangements more typical than fully remote. Inside sales and lead-generation roles are the most likely to offer a remote option.
How can I get hired as a sales intern in Montana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly through university career centers at Montana State University or the University of Montana, which maintain relationships with regional employers running structured intern cohorts. Customer service, retail associate, and camp counselor roles at Montana outdoor brands or agricultural supply cooperatives are the lateral moves that most commonly lead to a sales intern offer. A demonstrated record of quota or goal attainment in any customer-facing role, even informal, gives candidates a meaningful edge in screening.
Where can I find and apply to sales intern jobs in Montana?
You can find and apply to sales intern jobs in Montana on Migrate Mate, which lists current Montana openings updated regularly. Search the listings to find roles that match your background, schedule, and preferred location, then apply directly to the ones that fit. No sign-up is required to see openings.
