Sales Jobs in Memphis: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales job in Memphis?
Focus on Memphis's strongest hiring sectors: logistics and supply chain, healthcare services, and financial products, where local employers consistently carry open sales headcount. Roles concentrate Downtown, in East Memphis, and along the Poplar Avenue corridor into Germantown. Candidates who can demonstrate territory management experience or familiarity with B2B cycles in those industries tend to stand out most in this market.
Which companies hire saless in Memphis?
Memphis sales roles are posted by DTLR, CarMax, and 2020 Companies and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Memphis draws a broad mix of regional distributors, national healthcare systems, and financial services firms, so the hiring base is more diverse than a single-industry city.
Are there remote sales jobs in Memphis?
Yes, though remote availability in sales depends heavily on the role, since field and territory sales positions require in-person client contact by nature. About 32% of sales openings tied to Memphis are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with inside sales and account management roles being the most likely to offer flexible arrangements in the Memphis market.
How can I get a sales job in Memphis with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Memphis is through inside sales or sales development roles at local healthcare distributors, logistics companies, and regional financial services firms, which regularly hire and train candidates without prior sales experience. Starting as a customer service representative or account coordinator at these employers is a common stepping stone. Familiarity with CRM tools and a willingness to work a defined territory gives entry-level candidates a clear edge locally.
Which industries hire the most saless in Memphis?
The sectors hiring the most saless in Memphis are Transportation & Logistics, Automotive, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Memphis's role as a major logistics hub and its large healthcare and financial services presence drive consistent sales demand across all three of those sectors.
