Own a market. Sell the job, design it, install it, and build the territory around you.
Outdoor Lighting Perspectives is North America's largest landscape lighting company. We're opening up the Melbourne and Vero market and hiring one person to run it — the first employee on the Space Coast, with the whole territory to build. You'll sit with the client, design the system, close the sale, and install it yourself. As the work grows, you'll lead the crew we hire into it.
This is for someone who already does both sides of the work — sells it and installs it — and wants the upside of building something instead of filling a slot. Landscape lighting experience is ideal, but architectural and low-voltage lighting, irrigation, and similar outdoor systems backgrounds all translate. We'll teach you our systems and pay for your certification.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Run design consultations with homeowners and commercial clients across Melbourne and Vero
- Design systems on site and present them at a premium price point
- Close your own proposals in our CRM and own the follow-up
- Install what you sell — trenching, fixtures, transformers, controls, hardscape, roofline
- Perform night aiming and adjustments so every system looks the way it was designed
- Run service calls and system diagnostics
- Build trade relationships with landscapers, pool builders, and hardscape contractors
- Run your own week: your schedule, your route, your numbers
WHAT YOU GET
- $25–35 per hour depending on experience
- 5% commission on every job you close — uncapped. You sell it, you install it, you get paid on it
- Work truck provided
- 401(k) with 3% match, health/dental/vision, PTO, paid holidays
- Paid COLT certification and manufacturer training
- A territory to build, and the first shot at leading the crew that grows into it
WHAT YOU NEED
- You've sold your own work and installed it — both halves, not one
- Hands-on background in landscape lighting, architectural or low-voltage lighting, irrigation, or a similar outdoor systems trade
- Proven ability to run an on-site consultation and close residential work
- Real troubleshooting ability — you diagnose a fault, you don't guess at it
- Valid driver's license, clean record (no accidents or violations in 3 years)
- Based in or near the Melbourne–Vero corridor
- Able to be at our Orlando office Monday mornings at 9:00 for team stand-up; the rest of the week is your territory
- Comfortable in Florida heat, lifting 50 lbs, trenching, and working some evenings
- Professional and credible in front of high-end clients
Outdoor Lighting Perspectives is an equal opportunity employer and supports a drug-free workplace.

Sales Lead Jobs in Melbourne: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales lead job in Melbourne?
Focus your search on Melbourne's defense and aerospace supply chain, the retail corridors along U.S. 192 and Wickham Road, and the technology services firms clustered near the Melbourne Orlando International Airport. Employers in those sectors consistently hire sales leads who can manage a team on the floor or in the field. Candidates with experience in B2B account management or retail team supervision stand out in this market.
Which companies hire sales leads in Melbourne?
Melbourne sales lead roles are posted by Chico's FAS, Northern Tool + Equipment, and Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Winter Park and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Melbourne's hiring mix reflects its defense, retail, and technology services economy, so you'll find openings at government contractors, big-box retailers, and regional service companies alongside smaller specialty firms.
Are there remote sales lead jobs in Melbourne?
Yes, though sales lead roles are less remote-friendly than purely desk-based positions because the job typically involves supervising a team on-site or managing in-person client relationships. About 0% of sales lead openings tied to Melbourne are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those tend to be in inside sales or technology-focused account management rather than floor leadership roles.
How can I get a sales lead job in Melbourne with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Melbourne is starting as a sales associate or customer service representative at one of the retail or defense-adjacent service employers along the Wickham Road and Palm Bay Road corridors, then moving into a lead role after demonstrating floor performance. Melbourne's aerospace and defense suppliers also hire entry-level account coordinators who can grow into sales lead positions. Familiarity with the local B2B client base in those sectors gives new candidates a concrete edge.
