Sales Specialist Jobs in Philadelphia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales specialist job in Philadelphia?
Target the sectors driving most of Philadelphia's sales hiring: healthcare systems, life sciences companies along the I-76 corridor, regional banks and insurance firms in Center City, and SaaS companies clustered in University City. Candidates who combine CRM proficiency with industry-specific knowledge, whether clinical, financial, or technical, stand out in this market. Networking through local chambers and industry meetups in the Philadelphia area also gives applicants a practical edge.
Which companies hire sales specialists in Philadelphia?
Companies currently hiring sales specialists in Philadelphia include Teva Pharmaceuticals, Hertz, and ALMO, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Philadelphia's hiring mix reflects its strong base of health systems, specialty insurers, and mid-market technology firms, all of which maintain dedicated sales teams locally.
Are there remote sales specialist jobs in Philadelphia?
Yes, though availability depends on the role: territory-based and field sales positions rarely offer full remote work, while inside sales and account management roles are more often flexible. About 75% of sales specialist openings tied to Philadelphia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common. The technology and financial services sectors in Philadelphia tend to offer the most remote-eligible sales roles.
How can I get a sales specialist job in Philadelphia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Philadelphia is through sales development representative or inside sales associate roles at the city's mid-size technology and healthcare companies, which routinely hire candidates with strong communication skills over direct experience. Jefferson Health, Comcast, and Philadelphia-area SaaS firms regularly post entry-level sales positions. Demonstrating familiarity with Salesforce or HubSpot and completing a relevant certification gives early-career candidates a concrete advantage in local interviews.
