About The Role
Do you want to be one of the people behind the @ChatGPT handle on Linkedin? We’re looking for a smart and accomplished Social Media Manager (IC) to drive and manage long-tail evergreen educational social content primarily around OpenAI products on Linkedin and YouTube from the @ChatGPT and @OpenAI accounts. This role sits at the intersection of AI, education, product storytelling, and social media. You'll help shape how people around the world understand and adopt one of the fastest-growing technologies in history. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week.
In this role, you will
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to brief and create evergreen content related to OpenAI products like ChatGPT and Codex
- Craft and execute social strategy and content to encourage and sustain product adoption
- Partner with product, marketing, and creative teams to develop educational social content that helps people understand and adopt OpenAI products
- Monitor and report on product usage trends and conversations across social
- Balance the requests of many teams while ensuring content goes out accurately and on time
- Synthesize and communicate complex topics in clear language tailored for different audiences
You might thrive in this role if you
- 7+ years of professional experience in social media management, preferably in technology or AI, with experience managing large brand accounts, and publishing real-time high-impact content at scale
- Proven success in developing and executing social media strategies that drive engagement and growth
- Strong cross-functional, operational and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects, tight processes, and rigorous content tracking
- A deep, hands-on love for ChatGPT, Codex, and OpenAI’s products, with the curiosity and conviction to use them every day while translating the benefits to others globally
- Deep understanding of audience behavior across social platforms, especially LinkedIn, with experience tailoring content for a wide range of segments, from knowledge workers and industry professionals to students, early graduates, and younger digital-native audiences
- Exceptional writing and communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex topics into clear, concise content for diverse audiences
- A creative and highly practical approach to prompting, capable of designing prompts that are engaging, useful, and showcase the real-world value of OpenAI products
