The Sonographer operates imaging equipment and software, mostly ultrasound equipment, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. The Sonographer position also requires a strong commitment to patient care, technical expertise, and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.

Schedule: Full Time, 40 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday
Primary Responsibilities:
- Capture and produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and completeness for interpretation
- Prepare, position, and support patients throughout imaging procedures while explaining processes and ensuring safety, including radiation protection
- Review and verify imaging orders; document contrast usage and patient responses before, during, and after procedures
- Monitor patients throughout procedures, utilizing appropriate immobilization and transfer techniques as needed
- Maintain accurate and complete imaging records within PACS systems
- Support quality improvement initiatives by maintaining documentation and addressing identified opportunities
- Perform routine equipment checks, cleaning, and maintenance; report and track equipment or technology needs to resolution
- Assist with clinical training and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours.
Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience
License: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
Certifications/Registrations: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI and 2 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area; Basic Life Support (BLS)

- Knowledge of protocols and ability to make adjustments as needed.
- Knowledge of safe & proper machine operation.
- Knowledge of machine emergency procedures and radiation safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
