Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented IT Hardware Buyer / Purchasing Specialist to join our procurement team.
In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, purchasing, and managing enterprise IT hardware and components. You will work closely with our Sales and Operations teams to respond quickly to customer requirements, identify competitive sourcing opportunities, develop and maintain supplier relationships, and ensure a reliable and timely supply of products.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience purchasing enterprise IT hardware and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, international business environment where product availability, pricing, and market conditions can change rapidly.
Key Responsibilities
· Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable global suppliers and sourcing channels for enterprise IT hardware and components.
· Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to understand customer requirements, purchasing priorities, product specifications, and delivery expectations.
· Source products based on customer and internal requirements, including specifications, quantity, pricing, availability, condition, and delivery requirements.
· Research market pricing, product availability, lead times, and supply trends to identify competitive purchasing opportunities.
· Build and maintain strong, professional, and long-term relationships with suppliers, distributors, and other business partners.
· Prepare, issue, and monitor purchase orders and related purchasing documentation.
· Follow up on orders, shipments, delivery schedules, product discrepancies, and other purchasing issues to ensure timely fulfillment.
· Conduct supplier due diligence, including vendor qualification, credit checks, business verification, and basic supplier risk assessments.
· Monitor supplier performance and identify potential risks related to product quality, authenticity, pricing, payment terms, inventory availability, and delivery.
· Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, pricing data, and transaction documentation.
What We're Looking ForRequired / Preferred Qualifications
· College degree, diploma, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
· Strongly preferred: Hands-on experience purchasing enterprise IT hardware from global suppliers.
· Experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, supply chain, distribution, or a related field.
· Strong supplier sourcing, negotiation, and vendor-development skills.
· Knowledge of one or more of the following product categories is highly desirable:
o Enterprise SSD / Storage
o Server RAM / Memory
o Mellanox / NIC / Networking Components
o CPUs / GPUs
o Servers and Server Components
o Data Center Hardware
· Strong market awareness and the ability to respond quickly to changes in product availability, pricing, and supply conditions.
· Strong cross-cultural communication skills and adaptability in a multicultural and international business environment.
· Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally or occasionally for business purposes, as required.
