- Deliver engaging therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques for speech therapy, language therapy, voice disorders, fluency issues, and cognitive-communication challenges
- Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive treatment strategies and effective progress tracking
- Document patient progress accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR), maintaining detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes
- Educate patients and their families on communication strategies, exercises, and home programs to reinforce therapy goals outside of clinical sessions
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care for patients with complex needs or disabilities
Requirements
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or equivalent credential
- Proven experience working with pediatric populations, including early intervention programs and school-based settings
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology related to speech and swallowing functions, and medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology
- Experience conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for diverse populations with speech impairments or disabilities
- Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and experience delivering remote speech-language services is preferred
- Ability to work effectively with children as well as geriatric patients experiencing age-related communication challenges
- Excellent collaboration skills for working within multidisciplinary teams including educators, therapists, physicians, and families
