Position Summary
The Accounting Clerk supports the financial health of the organization by assisting the accounting department.

be opening four new downtown lifestyle boutique hotels

Accounting Clerk Job Responsibilities:
 Collect and sort invoices and checks
 Perform accounting functions as assigned, such as recording, reconciling, and analyzing
accounting transactions
 Participate in month-end inventory counts, record inventory usage
 Supporting supervisory staff by performing any assigned accounting and clerical tasks
 Key in or type any documents or items that the accounting department is responsible for,
including checks and invoices, as well as vouchers, accounting statements, and other
reports and records. Revenue entry and data entry.
 Maintain a cash analysis (“checkbook balance”) schedule
 Balanced daily cash between night audit/deposit slips
 Count house banks
 Approve purchase order (PO) requests
 Ensure purchases are made in accordance with PO and other hotel policies
 Provide vendor billing information, as necessary
 Process weekly vendor payment requests
 Prepare any payroll-related taxes, such as the Healthy San Francisco Tax
 Ensure hotel licensing is up to date
 Provide internal information for internal management reports, such as daily, weekly, and
month-end reports.
 Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
 Other duties as assigned.

Accounting Clerk Qualifications/Skills:
 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
 Highly skilled in math, accounting and financial processes
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 Detail-oriented and highly organized
 Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
 Excellent critical thinking skills

Pay

$24/Hour DOE

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
 Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (master’s preferred)
 At least 2 years’ experience in hotel accounting is preferred.

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
