Momar is looking for a Staff Accountant!

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the company’s State and Local Taxes, including corporate filings, account setup and management, liaison with jurisdictional offices.
• Manage the Concur expense reporting system, reviewing and approving employee expense reports.
• Accounting duties for our sister company: Widespread Industrial Supplies
• Manage the Avalara account and related processes
• Post and process journal entries at the direction of the Controller
• Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable posting, if needed
• Provide support for all audits
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Complete bank reconciliations.
• Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support in the preparation of monthly/yearly financial closings.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

• Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the finance and accounting team.
• Willingness to stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and practices.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
• 5 or more years of relevant experience

Physical Requirements: Sedentary

• Ability to routinely lift and/or move 25 lbs. unassisted.
• Frequently required to sit, use hands and fingers to handle/feel items, reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, and talk or hear.
