Strategy Manager Jobs in Irvine: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a strategy manager job in Irvine?
The strongest path into Irvine strategy manager roles runs through the city's technology, healthcare, and financial services employers clustered in the Irvine Spectrum and Irvine Business Complex. Candidates who combine analytical credentials with experience in corporate planning, competitive intelligence, or M&A integration stand out. Familiarity with the Southern California market and a network built through UCI or local industry associations gives a clear edge.
Which companies hire strategy managers in Irvine?

Irvine's employer base skews toward large technology firms, regional health systems, and financial services companies, many of which maintain dedicated corporate strategy or business development functions.
Are there remote strategy manager jobs in Irvine?
Yes, though it depends on the role. Strategy manager work is largely desk-based and analytical, making it more remote-compatible than operations-heavy positions. About 80% of strategy manager openings tied to Irvine are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, with the highest flexibility found in roles focused on market analysis, strategic planning, and financial modeling rather than cross-functional program execution.
How can I get a strategy manager job in Irvine with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Irvine is through a business analyst, financial analyst, or corporate development associate role at one of the area's larger technology or healthcare companies, which commonly promote internally into strategy functions. UCI's Paul Merage School of Business and local MBA programs produce candidates that Irvine employers actively recruit. Building experience in data-driven project work or competitive research makes the transition more straightforward.
