Job Description
AECOM Technical Services Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Chelmsford, MA:
Responsibilities
- Plan and design new structures and existing structure rehabilitations
- Develop load rating tools for complex cable stayed structures
- Perform calculations and create detailed engineering plans for new and existing structures
- Evaluate existing structures for safety, damage, and compliance, recommending necessary repairs
- Conduct site investigations and risk assessments to determine project viability and optimal design solutions
- Oversee budgets, schedules, and quality control during both design and construction phases
- Train, guide, and mentor junior engineers and technical staff to build team capabilities
Qualifications
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field of study and 10 years of experience as a Structural Engineer or in a related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
- Advanced FEA analysis and design, proficiency
- Structural analysis software
- Code designing and testing
- Concrete Superstructure Design
- Steel Superstructure Design
- Substructure Design
- Foundation Design
- Bridge Rating
