Job Description: Commercial Construction Superintendent

· Normal hours M-F, 8 hours per day. Some jobs may require a shift in hours.

· Office and warehouse in Brentwood, Mo.

· Potential for some out-of-town travel on occasion.

· Dependent on the size of the job, usually managing multiple job sites at once.

· Jost Builders is a Commercial General Contractor and Construction Management company. We do not self-perform any work.

Job Requirements:

· Must have at least a high school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

· Must have at least 7 years commercial construction experience.

· Must be authorized to work in the United States and possess a valid drivers' license.

· Must be able to work independently and manage multiple sub-contractors under the direction of a project manager.

· Must have OSHA 10 certification, OSHA 30 is preferred.

· Leadership and Communication:

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential for effectively managing a construction site and coordinating with subcontractors and clients.

· Technical Skills:

A solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and building codes is crucial.

· Problem-Solving:

The ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively is vital.

· Organizational Skills:

Strong organizational and time-management skills are necessary to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

· Software Proficiency:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and construction management software is often required. The company uses Procore construction management software. Knowledge of Procore is a plus, but not a requirement. In-house training is available.

· Safety Knowledge:

A thorough understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices is paramount.

· Blueprint Reading:

The ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and other construction documents is essential.

· Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical skills are needed to assess project progress, identify potential problems, and make informed decisions.

· Multitasking and Prioritization:

The ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work independently is important.

This is a salaried position starting at $114,400.00 per year ($55.00/hr.), plus discretionary year-end bonus potential.
