Job Description
Assists in managing and maintaining the overall health and performance of the organization’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, including servers, network devices, storage systems, and security components. Under limited supervision, performs regular system monitoring and analysis to ensure optimal functionality and proactively identify potential issues. Helps establish and implement robust security protocols, access controls, authentication mechanisms, and encryption methods to ensure the integrity and security of the technical environment. Implements processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of configuration documentation, facilitating efficient troubleshooting efforts and system audits. Delivers technical support for new infrastructure projects, collaborating with project teams to implement and integrate systems effectively. Confers regularly with cross-functional teams, including IT support, security, and development teams, to evaluate and address complex technical challenges, ensuring a cohesive IT environment. Implements system backup and recovery processes that support broader disaster recovery plans and incident response strategies. Assesses and evaluates current enterprise systems, identifying improvement opportunities and proposing process optimizations to enhance the efficiency, security, and scalability of IT operations. Coaches junior-level system administrators, providing mentorship and guidance on best practices to ensure the optimal performance of enterprise systems, servers, and software.
Experience technical role involving managing projects with a focus on delivering solutions that support broader organizational goals. Expected to be able to address complex challenges and develop effective solutions with both internal experts and external stakeholders. Work requires clear and detailed communication, including gathering functional requirements and preparing comprehensive reports. Colleague may lead small teams or independently manage projects, demonstrating a high level of autonomy and subject matter expertise. A university degree or equivalent experience is required, along with strong practical knowledge of advanced theories and principles relevant to the field.
