INTRODUCTION
Cleveland Brothers, the largest Cat® dealer in Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia, and western Maryland, has an immediate opportunity for a Microsoft Dynamics Systems Administrator. This position will sit onsite in Murrysville, or Harrisburg locations.
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Dynamics Systems Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, support, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments, including Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE), and related Microsoft platforms.
This position plays a key role in maintaining system stability, supporting business operations, and ensuring our environments remain secure, compliant, and well-governed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft Dynamics 365 administration, Azure and Power Platform technologies, licensing coordination, and security administration. This individual should possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and be able to collaborate effectively across IT and business teams.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administration and Platform Support
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, Dynamics 365 CE, and associated business applications.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain Azure App Services and related Azure resources supporting D365 integrations and data interfaces.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain Power Platform environments.
- Configure and maintain Dynamics 365 applications to ensure performance, reliability, and availability.
- Implement system upgrades, patches, hotfixes, and platform updates to keep environments current and secure.
- Create and maintain backups and support restoration activities as needed.
- Support planned after-hours work related to system updates, deployments, maintenance, issue resolution, and environment changes as needed to minimize disruption to business operations.
Licensing and Environment Governance
- Support administration and coordination of Dynamics 365 F&O, Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform, and related Microsoft licensing.
- Partner with IT leadership, vendors, and business stakeholders to help evaluate licensing needs, usage, access requirements, and license optimization opportunities.
- Evaluate security role assignments and access design to help ensure users have appropriate access while supporting licensing optimization and cost-effective license utilization.
- Maintain awareness of licensing changes, entitlements, and impacts to system access or functionality.
- Assist with environment governance activities, including access reviews, user provisioning standards, and environment-level administrative controls.
Security Administration
- Administer and maintain security within Dynamics 365 F&O and Dynamics 365 CE, including roles, duties, privileges, teams, business units, and user access.
- Implement, maintain, and improve security policies and procedures to protect data integrity and prevent unauthorized access.
- Support security changes, access requests, role assignments, segregation-of-duties considerations, and periodic access reviews.
- Partner with business and IT teams to troubleshoot security-related issues and implement approved security changes.
- Help ensure security configurations remain aligned with operational needs, internal controls, and company policies.
Monitoring and Performance
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular assessments to identify risks, issues, and areas for improvement.
- Implement performance tuning strategies to improve system responsiveness and reliability.
- Monitor integrations, background processes, and application health to support business continuity.
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful implementation and ongoing operation of Microsoft Dynamics solutions.
- Participate in planning and execution of system changes, environment management activities, and operational improvements.
- Support process improvement initiatives related to system administration, security, and platform governance.
Troubleshooting and End-User Support
- Troubleshoot application, integration, environment, and performance issues.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end users, addressing inquiries related to Microsoft Dynamics functionality, access, and system behavior.
- Collaborate with the IT support team to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, security models, procedures, licensing considerations, and administrative processes.
- Create and update support documentation, user guidance, and training materials as needed.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Four-year degree, preferably in a related technical field.
- Continuous learning mindset with the ability to stay current on Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure, and Microsoft platform changes.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams, functional stakeholders, and external partners.
DESIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- 5-10 years of related experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 administration.
- Demonstrated experience with a broad set of Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and Power Platform.
- Understanding of security administration within Dynamics 365 F&O and Dynamics 365 CE.
- Experience with user access management, security roles, security maintenance, and evaluating role design to support appropriate access and licensing efficiency.
- Understanding of lifecycle management and environment administration in Dynamics 365.
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 licensing concepts, user access requirements, and license coordination.
- Experience supporting upgrades, patches, integrations, and environment monitoring.
