Tax Services Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a tax services manager in Florida?
You need an active CPA license issued through the Florida Board of Accountancy, which requires passing the Uniform CPA Examination and meeting Florida's education and experience requirements. Most candidates hold a bachelor's degree in accounting with additional graduate coursework to satisfy the credit-hour threshold. From there, progression typically moves through staff and senior tax roles at a public accounting firm or in a corporate tax department before reaching the manager level.
How much do tax services managers make in Florida?
Tax services managers in Florida earn a median of about $79,250 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $50,280 for the lowest 10% to over $131,930 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire tax services managers in Florida?
Employers hiring tax services managers in Florida right now include RSM, KPMG, and Andersen, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of multinational headquarters in Miami and large regional firms in Tampa and Orlando means openings appear regularly across both Big Four practices and mid-market firms.
Which Florida cities have the most tax services manager jobs?
West Palm Beach, Orlando, and Tampa have the most tax services manager openings in Florida. Miami leads because of its dense cluster of multinational corporations, Latin American regional headquarters, and international tax practices, while Tampa and Orlando generate steady demand from large regional accounting firms and the corporate tax departments of major employers based in those metros.
Are there remote tax services manager jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 43% of tax services manager openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work centers on reviewing documents, preparing filings, and advising clients through digital platforms rather than on-site activity. Federal and state compliance work and tax provision engagements are the sub-areas most likely to be offered on a remote or hybrid basis.
How can I get hired as a tax services manager in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is joining a Florida public accounting firm at the staff tax associate level and progressing through senior associate before reaching manager. Large Florida practices at firms like Deloitte, PwC, and RSM run structured new-graduate programs that recruit directly from Florida universities. Candidates who sit for the CPA exam early and gain experience in adjacent roles such as tax analyst or financial reporting associate at Florida-based corporate employers build a competitive foundation for the manager track.
Where can I find and apply to tax services manager jobs in Florida?
