- Drive corrective and preventive actions to verified closure, each with a named owner, due date, and effectiveness check.
- Maintain the corrective-action tracker and produce status reporting for leadership and customers.
- Identify recurrence and escalate it per the Root Cause Analysis Standard.

Technical Program Manager Jobs in Austin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a technical program manager job in Austin?
Focus on Austin's densest hiring pockets: enterprise software companies in the Domain, semiconductor and hardware firms along the 183 Tech Corridor, and cloud infrastructure teams concentrated downtown. Candidates who combine PMP or PMI-ACP credentials with hands-on experience in Agile delivery stand out. Networking through Austin Tech Alliance events and local engineering meetups also surfaces roles that rarely appear on public listings.
Which companies hire technical program managers in Austin?
Austin technical program manager roles are posted by Amazon, Tesla, and AMD and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Austin's mix of Fortune 500 regional headquarters, high-growth semiconductor firms, and venture-backed SaaS companies means opportunities exist across a wide range of company sizes and product stages.
Are there remote technical program manager jobs in Austin?
Yes, though availability depends on the role's scope, since program managers overseeing hardware builds or on-site engineering teams are more likely to require in-person presence than those coordinating distributed software delivery. About 30% of technical program manager openings tied to Austin are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the most flexibility concentrated in cloud, platform, and data infrastructure programs at Austin's larger tech employers.
How can I get a technical program manager job in Austin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Austin is moving laterally from a software engineering, product operations, or IT project coordinator role into a junior TPM position at one of the city's mid-size SaaS or semiconductor firms, which often grow their program management ranks internally. Dell Technologies, NXP Semiconductors, and similarly scaled Austin employers run rotational and associate PM programs that accept candidates without formal TPM experience. Building familiarity with JIRA, program roadmaps, and cross-functional delivery processes before applying gives candidates a clear edge.
Which industries hire the most technical program managers in Austin?
Most technical program manager openings in Austin sit in Technology & Software, Retail, and E-Commerce & Online Marketplaces, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Austin's identity as a semiconductor manufacturing hub alongside its fast-growing enterprise software and cloud services sector creates sustained demand for program managers who can coordinate complex, multi-team technical deliveries.
