Technical Recruiter Jobs in New Hampshire: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a technical recruiter in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire does not require a state-issued license to work as a technical recruiter, so the path focuses on education and experience. Most employers in Manchester and Nashua expect a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field alongside hands-on recruiting or HR coordination experience. Earning a credential such as the SHRM-CP or PHR strengthens candidacy, and familiarity with the state's defense and manufacturing sectors is a meaningful differentiator.
How much do technical recruiters make in New Hampshire?
Technical recruiters in New Hampshire earn a median of about $70,840 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $47,700 for the lowest 10% to over $122,560 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire technical recruiters in New Hampshire?
Employers hiring technical recruiters in New Hampshire right now include Fidelity TalentSource, Amphenol, and Sitecore, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Defense contractors and advanced manufacturing firms in the southern tier of the state are among the most consistent sources of technical recruiting roles year-round.
Which New Hampshire cities have the most technical recruiter jobs?
Merrimack, Manchester, and Portsmouth lead New Hampshire for technical recruiter openings. Manchester and Nashua drive the bulk of demand as the state's primary corporate and defense corridor, where BAE Systems, Fidelity, and a cluster of technology firms concentrate their talent acquisition teams, while Portsmouth draws openings tied to its naval and advanced manufacturing base.
Are there remote technical recruiter jobs in New Hampshire?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 31% of technical recruiter openings tied to New Hampshire are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based and communication-driven nature of recruiting work. Sourcing, screening, and coordination tasks are most likely to be fully remote, while roles that require on-site collaboration with hiring managers in manufacturing or defense environments tend to be hybrid.
How can I get hired as a technical recruiter in New Hampshire with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is an HR coordinator or recruiting coordinator role at a larger New Hampshire employer, where you support full-cycle recruiters before owning requisitions independently. Dartmouth Health, BAE Systems, and Fidelity's Merrimack campus periodically bring on early-career HR staff through coordinator or internship programs. Lateral moves from talent sourcing, staffing agency work, or technical account management are also common entry paths, and earning a SHRM student membership or PHR credential signals commitment to employers.
Where can I find and apply to technical recruiter jobs in New Hampshire?
