JOB SUMMARY
At White Cap, we’re building the future of construction—and that starts with hiring exceptional engineering talent. We are seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to lead hiring for highly specialized roles across engineering, manufacturing, and product innovation, including Forming & Shoring Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Lab Leaders.
In this role, you won’t just fill roles—you’ll act as a strategic talent advisor, partnering closely with business leaders to shape hiring strategies, build pipelines for hard-to-fill positions, and deliver a best-in-class candidate experience.
This is a high-impact opportunity for a recruiter who thrives in complex, niche hiring environments and enjoys translating technical requirements into successful hiring outcomes.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Owns the full life cycle recruiting process by delivering a pipeline of high-quality candidates to hiring managers via networking, cold calling, relationship building, and other sourcing methods.
- Manages the selection process to ensure a rigorous interview process and proper placement of motivated and qualified candidates.
- Supports internal clients as a strategic talent advisory by understanding business context and needs and providing consulting and talent solutions.
- Build and engage high quality talent pipeline through proactive sourcing and leveraging industry associates & network.
- Conducts information sessions with managers to determine position requirements.
- Negotiates and finalizes position offers to potential associates.
- Obtains information on competitors, industry changes, and market salary structures.
- Performs administrative tasks and follows-up with candidates and managers.
NATURE AND SCOPE
- Build and execute strategies, requiring creative solutions to complex problems.
- Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.
- Owns recruitment efforts for their assigned functions, while being capable of supporting team members in other areas of the business.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires overnight travel 10% or less of the time.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline, with 7+ years of experience recruiting in similar field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior recruiting experience in AEC industry (architecture, engineering & construction).
- Executive recruiting experience, partnering with senior leadership to fill management roles.
- Prior experience creating sourcing & recruitment strategies for niche or hard to fill positions (technical, professional & trade).
- Ability to utilize data, enhanced sourcing tools & market insights to deliver results desired.
