TN Visa Account Manager Jobs

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as an Account Manager
Align your degree to management credentials
TN classification for Account Managers requires a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a directly related field. A degree in an unrelated discipline, even with years of sales experience, won't satisfy the specialty occupation requirement on its own.
Target employers experienced with visa sponsorship
Prioritize companies with recent visa filings who understand work visa sponsorship requirements. Employers experienced with visa sponsorship processes tend to move faster and are less likely to withdraw an offer after discussing TN eligibility and the support letter process.
Search TN-sponsored Account Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to find Account Manager positions at employers actively offering TN visa sponsorship. The platform surfaces roles where employers have already committed to the process, saving you time filtering out positions that won't work.
Get your employer's support letter drafted early
Canadians presenting at a port of entry need a detailed employer support letter confirming the role, your qualifications, and the TN category. Delays in getting this letter approved internally are one of the most common reasons border crossings get pushed back.
Clarify your TN category in writing before signing
Account Manager roles are typically filed under Management Consultant or a related USMCA category. Confirm with your employer which TN classification they intend to use before you accept the offer, as mismatches between the offer letter and the TN petition can trigger denials.
Plan your Mexican TN consular appointment strategically
Mexican nationals require a visa stamp from a U.S. consulate, which adds processing time. Schedule your consular appointment as soon as your employer finalizes the support letter, since wait times at high-demand posts can extend several weeks beyond your intended start date.

Find Account Manager JobsAccount Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Account Manager role qualify for a TN visa?
Account Manager positions can qualify for TN status, but the classification depends on how the role is defined. The position typically needs to align with the Management Consultant category under USMCA, which requires that the work involves advisory or managerial functions tied to your degree field. Roles that are primarily sales execution without a management or analytical component may face greater scrutiny during adjudication.
How does the TN visa compare to H-1B for Account Manager roles?
For Canadian professionals, the TN visa is significantly more accessible than H-1B. There is no annual lottery, no cap, and Canadians can obtain TN status at a port of entry on the same day. H-1B requires employer sponsorship months in advance, a lottery entry in March, and USCIS adjudication that can take several more months. Mexican nationals still need a consular appointment for TN, but they also avoid the H-1B lottery entirely.
What documents does my employer need to provide for my TN application?
Your employer needs to prepare a support letter that specifies the TN category, your job title and duties, your qualifications, the intended duration of employment, and your salary. For Canadian applicants at the border, this letter is the primary document officers review. Mexican nationals present the same support letter at their U.S. consulate appointment. Incomplete or vague employer letters are a leading cause of TN denials for Account Manager candidates.
How can I find Account Manager jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Most general job boards don't filter by visa sponsorship type, which makes it hard to identify employers genuinely open to TN applicants. Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you find Account Manager roles at companies that have already committed to TN visa sponsorship. Searching there removes the guesswork of cold-applying to roles that may never move forward for visa candidates.
Can I change Account Manager employers while on a TN visa?
Yes, but your TN status is tied to your current employer. Before starting with a new company, your new employer must prepare fresh TN documentation and you must obtain new TN authorization, either at the border as a Canadian or through a new consular appointment as a Mexican national. Working for a new employer before completing this step puts you out of status, even if your original TN visa stamp hasn't expired.
