Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Cloud Security Architect
Map your credentials to TN categories
Cloud Security Architect isn't a standalone TN category. You'll need to frame your role under Computer Systems Analyst or Engineer. Your degree field and job duties letter must align precisely with the qualifying category or CBP can deny entry.
Target employers with recent visa filing experience
Search for employers with recent visa filings for Computer Systems Analyst or similar tech roles. These employers have demonstrated experience with work visa sponsorship and are far less likely to withdraw an offer over sponsorship complexity.
Request a duties letter before your border appointment
For Canadian professionals, CBP adjudicates TN status at the port of entry on the spot. Your employer's support letter must describe cloud security duties in terms that map to your qualifying TN category, not just your job title.
Use Migrate Mate to find TN-ready Cloud Security roles
Search Migrate Mate to identify Cloud Security Architect positions at employers with recent visa filings. Filtering by employer sponsorship experience helps you focus on companies familiar with visa processes, so you won't need to educate them about TN requirements from the start.
Prepare for Mexican consular processing timelines
As a Mexican citizen, you'll attend a consular interview at a U.S. embassy before admission. Build at least three to four weeks into your start date negotiation to account for appointment availability and administrative processing, which can extend beyond initial estimates.
Negotiate TN status for cloud vendor certifications
If your role requires maintaining AWS, Azure, or GCP security certifications, confirm with your employer upfront that TN status covers continuing professional development duties. Some employers update their support letters when your responsibilities expand after initial entry.

Find Cloud Security Architect JobsCloud Security Architect TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Cloud Security Architect qualify as a TN visa occupation?
Cloud Security Architect isn't listed by name in the USMCA TN occupations schedule, but most roles in this field qualify under Computer Systems Analyst or Engineer, depending on your specific duties and degree. The critical factor is that your employer's support letter frames your responsibilities in terms that match one of those listed categories. CBP officers evaluate the substance of the role, not the job title on your offer letter.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for Cloud Security Architects?
TN has no annual cap and no lottery, so Canadian professionals can apply at the port of entry the same day and receive a decision immediately. H-1B requires a lottery registration in March, a wait until October 1 if selected, and employer petition filing months in advance. For Canadian Cloud Security Architects, TN is structurally faster. Mexican citizens face a consular interview step, but still avoid the H-1B lottery entirely.
What documents does my employer need to prepare for my TN application?
Your employer must prepare a signed support letter on company letterhead that describes your job title, duties, the TN category claimed, and your anticipated start date. For Canadian professionals, you'll present this support letter directly at the U.S. port of entry (no advance filing required). For Mexican citizens, you'll submit the support letter as part of your application at a U.S. consulate. The process is streamlined compared to other work visas—there's no government certification step or prevailing wage requirement involved.
Where can I find Cloud Security Architect jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search specifically for Cloud Security Architect roles at employers with recent visa filings and experience sponsoring work visas. That's useful because many job postings don't specify visa sponsorship availability, and negotiating TN support from scratch with an unfamiliar employer adds weeks of uncertainty to your timeline. Filtering by employers experienced with visa sponsorship upfront puts you in front of companies who understand the sponsorship process and are likely equipped to support your TN application.
Can I switch Cloud Security Architect employers while on TN status?
Yes, but you must obtain TN status with the new employer before your last day with the current one, or you'll have a gap in authorized employment. Canadian professionals can return to a port of entry and present the new employer's support letter to apply for TN status. Mexican citizens need to schedule a new consular appointment with the new employer's documentation. Your TN status is employer-specific, so the new support letter must be ready before you start.
