How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Frame your resume around advisory functions
TN visa status under Management Consultant requires duties focused on client strategy and business advisory work. Highlight client portfolio management, revenue growth recommendations, and consultative selling over order processing or administrative account tasks.
Verify your degree field matches the role
CBP officers assess whether your bachelor's degree aligns with commercial account management. Degrees in business administration, marketing, or economics strengthen your case. A degree in an unrelated field without supporting documentation raises adjudication risk.
Target employers with recent visa filing experience
Companies experienced with visa sponsorship understand the documentation requirements and move faster through the offer process. Look for employers with recent work visa filings to identify those familiar with sponsoring professionals in management and consulting roles.
Clarify third-party client work in your offer letter
Commercial account managers often support clients across multiple accounts or business units. Your employer's offer letter should specify that your consulting work serves the employer's strategic interests, not that you're placed at a client site, to avoid contractor classification issues at the border.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers faster
Searching broadly for account manager roles wastes time on employers who won't sponsor. Migrate Mate filters jobs to companies with active TN visa sponsorship, so you're applying only where the offer-to-filing path is already established.
Prepare a blended experience file for Mexican applicants
Mexican nationals applying at a U.S. consulate should compile a credential file that includes degree transcripts, a detailed job description, and a certified offer letter before scheduling their visa appointment. Incomplete files are the most common cause of consular delays.
Commercial Account Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Commercial Account Manager role qualify for TN visa status?
It can, but the classification depends on how your duties are defined. TN status for this role typically falls under the Management Consultant category, which requires duties focused on client strategy, advisory functions, and business development. Roles that are primarily sales execution or order management without a consultative component are harder to qualify. Your employer's offer letter must clearly describe the advisory nature of your work.
How does TN compare to H-1B for a Commercial Account Manager position?
TN is faster and has no lottery. Canadian citizens can enter at a port of entry the same day with the right documentation, while H-1B visa requires months of processing and a random selection. For Mexican nationals, TN still requires consular processing but avoids the H-1B cap entirely. The trade-off is that TN requires renewal and does not create a direct path to permanent residence, while H-1B can be a step toward a green card.
What documentation does my employer need to provide for TN sponsorship?
Your employer must provide a signed offer letter on company letterhead that specifies your job title, a description of your daily duties in consultative terms, your salary, the employment period, and confirmation that you meet the educational requirements. Some CBP officers also ask for evidence of the employer's business operations. A vague or generic offer letter is the most common reason TN applications stall at the border.
Where can I find Commercial Account Manager jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Most general job boards don't filter by visa sponsorship status, which means you spend significant time applying to roles where sponsorship isn't available. Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN visa job seekers and surfaces Commercial Account Manager roles at employers already set up to sponsor. Searching there reduces wasted applications and connects you with employers familiar with the TN process.
Can I switch employers after entering the U.S. on a TN visa for this role?
Yes, but your TN status is tied to your current employer. If you change jobs, you need a new TN authorization before starting with the new employer. Canadian citizens can apply at a port of entry with a new offer letter. Mexican nationals must return to a U.S. consulate. Working even one day for a new employer before your new TN is approved violates your status, so plan the transition carefully with your new employer before giving notice.
