Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a CT Technologist
Verify your ARRT credentials transfer cleanly
Canadian and Mexican CT techs must hold U.S.-recognized credentials before an employer can support your TN petition. Confirm your ARRT certification or provincial equivalent meets the employer's credentialing requirements before submitting any application.
Target hospital systems with imaging departments
Large health systems and freestanding imaging centers file TN petitions far more routinely than small clinics. Focus your search on facilities with dedicated radiology or imaging departments, where HR teams already understand the TN process for allied health roles.
Search TN-specific job listings on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter CT Technologist openings by employer experience with visa sponsorship. The platform surfaces employers with recent visa filings, so you're not cold-applying to facilities unfamiliar with sponsoring international professionals under work visa programs.
Get your offer letter language right
Your TN support letter must specify your role as a Medical/Allied Professional under USMCA, your duties, your credentials, and your employment period. A vague or misclassified offer letter is the most common reason CBP officers ask additional questions at the border.
Understand the Mexican TN consular appointment timeline
Mexican CT techs apply at a U.S. consulate rather than at the border. Consular appointment availability varies significantly by location, so factor in scheduling lead time when negotiating your start date with a prospective employer.
Clarify state licensure requirements before crossing
Several states require CT techs to hold a state-specific radiologic technology license in addition to ARRT certification. Confirm the licensing requirement for your destination state and have documentation ready, since CBP may ask about it during TN admission.

Find CT Technologist JobsCT Technologist TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does the CT Technologist role qualify for TN visa sponsorship?
Yes. CT Technologists qualify under the USMCA Medical/Allied Professional category, which covers allied health roles that require a baccalaureate or licenciate degree or specific credentials recognized by the relevant professional bodies. You'll need to document your ARRT certification or equivalent credential as part of the TN petition package your employer prepares.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for CT Technologist roles?
TN has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadians, and no lengthy USCIS adjudication queue. Canadian CT techs can receive TN status the same day at a port of entry. H-1B requires a lottery selection, a multi-month USCIS review, and significant employer fees. For most CT Technologist candidates, TN is a faster and more predictable path to U.S. employment.
What documents does my employer need to file a TN petition for a CT tech role?
Your employer prepares a support letter confirming your job title, duties, USMCA professional category, credentials, and employment period. You bring that letter along with proof of your ARRT certification, your degree transcripts, and your valid Canadian or Mexican passport. For Canadian citizens, this package is presented directly to CBP at the border or pre-clearance site.
Where can I find CT Technologist jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking TN-sponsored roles in the U.S. You can search CT Technologist listings filtered by TN sponsorship, which saves you from applying to employers who haven't navigated the USMCA allied health category before and may push you toward H-1B instead.
Can I switch CT Technologist employers while on TN status?
Yes, but your TN authorization is tied to your current employer. You can't start working for a new employer until the new TN is approved. Canadian citizens can present a new TN petition at the border with an offer letter from the incoming employer. Mexican citizens need to schedule a new consulate appointment, so plan accordingly when timing your transition.
