Tenure Track, Assistant Professor in Department of Public Policy and Administration
A full member of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA), the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) invites applicants for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Policy and Administration. The position will start in Fall 2027. Candidates should have Ph.D. in Public Policy, Public Affairs, Public Administration, or a related field (e.g., Economics, Planning, Urban Affairs, Environmental Studies, Political Science, and others). We are looking for candidates whose research emphasis is broadly aligned with FIU's strategic focus area of environmental policy and related areas. These include planning, resilience, environmental/climate finance, disaster management, innovative technological solutions (e.g., clean energy), sustainable development, and environmental crimes (e.g., illegal mining). Candidates should have a strong record of, or a demonstrated capacity for scholarly publications and external research support. ABD candidates will be considered with the expectation that the Ph.D. is completed before the start date.
The Department of Public Policy and Administration offers the Bachelor of Public Policy and Administration, Master of Public Administration, and Ph.D. in Public Affairs.
