Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Rehabilitation Services Aide
Verify your credential equivalency early
Canadian and Mexican rehabilitation aide credentials vary by province and state. Confirm your diploma or certificate maps to a U.S. specialty occupation before applying, since CBP officers evaluate degree-to-role alignment at the port of entry.
Target healthcare systems with TN hiring history
Hospital networks and rehabilitation chains that already employ TN workers have HR staff familiar with the process. Filter your search by employer type rather than job title alone, prioritizing multi-facility health systems over small independent clinics.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Search Migrate Mate to identify rehabilitation employers with recent visa filings and sponsorship experience. The platform surfaces roles by visa type and location, cutting the time you'd otherwise spend cold-applying to employers unfamiliar with USMCA hiring.
Get your offer letter TN-ready before the border
Your offer letter must specify your job title, duties, and that the role requires specialized knowledge. CBP Canadian entries require no prior USCIS filing, so a deficient letter at the port is your only chance to present the case correctly.
Clarify which physical therapy tasks you can perform
Aides assist licensed therapists but don't perform independent assessments. Make sure your job description explicitly reflects this scope, since CBP may flag duties that appear to require licensure your TN classification doesn't support.
Understand Mexican nationals face a separate consular step
Unlike Canadian applicants who can obtain TN status at the border, Mexican nationals must schedule a visa interview at a U.S. consulate. Factor in consular wait times when negotiating your start date with the employer.

Find Rehabilitation Services Aide JobsRehabilitation Services Aide TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Rehabilitation Services Aide role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, provided the role is tied to a recognized specialty occupation under USMCA and your employer can demonstrate that the position requires specialized knowledge. Rehabilitation aides working under licensed physical or occupational therapists in hospital or clinical settings generally meet this standard. CBP makes the final determination at entry for Canadians or during consular review for Mexican nationals.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for this role?
TN has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadian applicants, and no lengthy USCIS petition process for Canadians crossing at the border. H-1B requires employer sponsorship months in advance, a lottery selection, and significant filing fees. For Rehabilitation Services Aide roles, TN is faster and far less administratively burdensome for both you and your employer, making it the practical first choice under USMCA.
What documents should I bring to the border as a Canadian applicant?
You'll need a valid Canadian passport, a signed offer letter from your U.S. employer detailing your role and duties, proof of your educational credentials or training relevant to rehabilitation services, and the TN visa application fee. CBP processes Canadian TN requests at the port of entry without a prior USCIS filing, so your documentation must be complete and organized before you arrive.
Where can I find Rehabilitation Services Aide jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It filters open positions by visa type, so you're only seeing employers who have a history of sponsoring TN workers rather than sifting through postings where sponsorship is uncertain. This matters for rehabilitation aide roles because many smaller clinics aren't familiar with USMCA sponsorship requirements and may withdraw offers mid-process.
Can I change employers or locations while on TN status as a rehabilitation aide?
You can change employers, but your TN status is employer-specific. Canadian nationals must re-enter at a port of entry or file a change of status with USCIS to work for a new employer. Mexican TN visa holders typically need a new visa stamp reflecting the new employer. Notify your current employer, secure a new offer letter, and initiate the process before your last day to avoid a gap in work authorization.
