Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Transportation Clerk
Align your credentials to TN visa requirements
Transportation Clerk TN applications rely on your employer's support letter, which documents your job title and salary. Get your degree evaluation completed before you apply so credential gaps don't delay your port-of-entry presentation (for Canadians) or consulate filing (for Mexicans).
Target logistics hubs with cross-border freight operations
Employers moving goods across the U.S.-Canada or U.S.-Mexico border file TN petitions routinely. Freight brokers, third-party logistics companies, and port-adjacent warehousing firms are the most consistent sources of Transportation Clerk sponsorship roles.
Confirm the role classification before accepting an offer
TN eligibility for Transportation Clerk depends on how the employer defines the position. Ask whether the role involves systems analysis, regulatory compliance documentation, or logistics coordination, since purely clerical duties without a technical component can be challenged at the border.
Search targeted TN sponsorship listings using Migrate Mate
Generic job boards don't filter for TN visa eligibility. Migrate Mate surfaces Transportation Clerk roles from employers who already sponsor TN visas, so you're not cold-pitching companies unfamiliar with the process.
Prepare your support letter before the offer deadline
Canadian citizens applying at the port of entry need an employer support letter describing the role, your qualifications, and the TN classification. Having a draft template ready lets your employer move quickly once they extend an offer, avoiding delays caused by internal HR bottlenecks.
Verify your employer's E-Verify enrollment before your start date
Some Transportation Clerk roles at logistics operators working federal contracts require E-Verify enrollment. Confirm your employer's enrollment status through the E-Verify portal so there are no Form I-9 complications on your first day.

Find Transportation Clerk JobsTransportation Clerk TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Transportation Clerk role actually qualify for TN visa status?
It depends on how the employer defines the position. TN status covers occupations under specific USMCA categories, and Transportation Clerk roles typically need to involve regulatory documentation, logistics systems coordination, or freight compliance functions to qualify. Purely administrative or data-entry clerk roles without a technical or professional component are more likely to be challenged by CBP at the border or at a consular appointment.
How does the TN visa compare to H-1B for Transportation Clerk positions?
TN has no lottery and no annual cap for Canadian citizens, so you can apply at any port of entry and often start work the same day approval is granted. H-1B requires a lottery selection that covers only a fraction of applicants each year and takes months to process. For Transportation Clerk roles, TN is faster and more predictable, though the position must still meet the USMCA specialty occupation criteria rather than the H-1B specialty occupation standard.
What documents does my employer need to file for TN sponsorship as a Transportation Clerk?
Your employer prepares a support letter describing your job duties, your qualifications, and the USMCA category that applies to the Transportation Clerk role. Canadian citizens present this document at the U.S. border or port of entry, while Mexican citizens use it to support a visa application at a U.S. embassy or consulate. The support letter demonstrates that you meet the educational and professional requirements for TN status in your occupation.
Where can I find Transportation Clerk jobs that already offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking roles with TN visa sponsorship. Rather than filtering through thousands of listings where most employers have no TN experience, Migrate Mate surfaces Transportation Clerk positions from companies that already understand the TN process and are prepared to file the required documentation.
Can a Mexican citizen apply for TN sponsorship for a Transportation Clerk role the same way a Canadian citizen can?
No. Canadian citizens apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with their employer's support letter and receive a decision on the spot. Mexican citizens must schedule and attend a visa interview at a U.S. consulate in Mexico, and the TN visa is issued as a stamp in their passport. Processing times depend on consular appointment availability, so Mexican applicants should factor in additional lead time when planning their start date.
