American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Home Health position requiring a VA or Compact RN license and at least one year of acute care experience.
Details
- Home health setting with patient care provided in the community or patient homes
- Monday through Friday, day shift schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- 5x8-hour shifts per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active VA state RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting
- Home care experience desired but not required
- Valid driver's license and active auto insurance with the candidate listed as a driver
- Strong communication skills and ability to build positive rapport with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues
- Ability to exercise sound nursing judgment and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment

- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in a home health environment
- Must demonstrate a compassionate, patient, and accommodating approach when working with patients
- Detail-oriented work style with a disciplined and timely work ethic is expected
- Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a care team
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
- Any time off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
