DESCRIPTION
Do you want to decide where a fast-growing business places its next marketing bet — and prove whether it paid off? Enterprise security is one of the fastest-growing areas at Amazon Web Services (AWS), and it is a place where we form a hypothesis, run the experiment, and learn quickly what works and what does not. In this role you own the analysis behind those decisions: you measure how our marketing initiatives perform, diagnose which ones are moving the business, and recommend where we should invest to get the greatest return.
You pull together signals from customer research, campaign and web data, and product usage to build a data-based view of what is working, and then partner with product management, finance, go-to-market, and sales teams to pressure-test that view and turn it into a recommendation: where to double down, where to stop, what to test next, and what net-new initiatives we should design and launch. You move between deep analysis and initiative design, turning data and customer insight into a point of view that shapes how we grow. If you thrive at the intersection of marketing, data, and technology and want to shape how AWS grows its security business, this role is for you.

Growth Marketing Director Jobs in Virginia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a growth marketing director in Virginia?
Growth marketing director roles in Virginia do not require a state-issued license or certification, so the path runs through education and experience. Most Virginia employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field, with an MBA viewed favorably at senior levels. Candidates typically move up through performance marketing, demand generation, or product marketing roles before reaching the director level, often building a portfolio of measurable growth outcomes along the way.
How much do growth marketing directors make in Virginia?
Growth marketing directors in Virginia earn a median of about $187,820 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $107,710 for the lowest 10% to over $292,430 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire growth marketing directors in Virginia?
Employers hiring growth marketing directors in Virginia right now include Workshop Digital, Hago, and Google, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Virginia's dense concentration of technology firms, federal contractors, and financial services companies in the Northern Virginia and Richmond corridors creates consistent demand for senior growth marketing leadership year-round.
Which Virginia cities have the most growth marketing director jobs?
Arlington, McLean, and Reston account for the greatest concentration of growth marketing director openings in Virginia. Northern Virginia and Arlington benefit from proximity to federal agencies and a dense technology sector anchored by major contractors and cloud companies, while Richmond draws demand from financial services firms and regional corporate headquarters that maintain in-house growth marketing functions.
Are there remote growth marketing director jobs in Virginia?
Yes, and more than most senior marketing roles. About 100% of growth marketing director openings tied to Virginia are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, reflecting the largely digital and analytical nature of the work. Strategy, campaign management, and performance reporting functions are most frequently offered remotely, while roles tied to federal contractors or regulated industries often require on-site presence for security or compliance reasons.
How can I get hired as a growth marketing director in Virginia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is to build experience in a performance marketing, demand generation, or digital marketing analyst role first, then work toward management. Large Virginia employers in the technology and defense contracting sectors, including firms headquartered in the Northern Virginia corridor, regularly hire associate or manager-level marketing professionals who can grow into director roles. Completing a recognized digital marketing certification and building a portfolio of measurable campaign results gives early-career candidates a concrete edge when competing for step-up opportunities.
Where can I find and apply to growth marketing director jobs in Virginia?
You can find and apply to growth marketing director jobs in Virginia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Virginia openings across industries and experience levels. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly from the listing without any additional steps required.
