Growth Marketing Director Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a growth marketing director in New York?
Growth marketing directors in New York typically progress from specialist or manager roles in performance marketing, demand generation, or product marketing, building toward a director title over several years of measurable results. New York employers place a premium on experience with high-growth consumer or B2B brands, so time spent at a recognized New York startup, media company, or financial services firm carries particular weight. No state license is required, but a strong portfolio of growth experiments and revenue outcomes is essential.
How much do growth marketing directors make in New York?
Growth marketing directors in New York earn a median of about $181,200 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $104,140 for the lowest 10% to over $324,310 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire growth marketing directors in New York?
Employers hiring growth marketing directors in New York right now include CVS Health, HealixGlobal, and Horizon Media, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's dense concentration of fintech, media, and direct-to-consumer brands means openings appear regularly across both established corporations and well-funded growth-stage companies headquartered in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Which New York cities have the most growth marketing director jobs?
New York, White Plains, and Brooklyn account for the most growth marketing director openings in New York. Manhattan dominates because most major brand headquarters, agency holding companies, and venture-backed startups are based there, while Brooklyn has grown as a hub for direct-to-consumer and creative-led brands, and other metro areas reflect the presence of large regional employers and corporate campuses outside the core city.
Are there remote growth marketing director jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 37% of growth marketing director openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how naturally this role translates to distributed work. Strategy, campaign planning, analytics, and cross-functional leadership are all well-suited to remote environments, making fully remote arrangements more common here than in operational or on-site roles.
How can I get hired as a growth marketing director in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is building a record of measurable impact in a specialist role first, such as paid media manager, growth analyst, or lifecycle marketer, before moving into a director title. Large New York employers in e-commerce, fintech, and media regularly hire associate directors or senior managers who are one step below director level, using those roles as a proving ground. A portfolio showing experiment design, funnel optimization results, and team leadership, even at a small scale, is the credential that opens doors.
Where can I find and apply to growth marketing director jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to growth marketing director jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state right now. Search the listings, find the roles that match your experience and location, and apply directly to each one.
