American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring prior CVICU and Level I Trauma experience plus NextStage CVVH machine proficiency.
Details
- Work in the Cardiovascular ICU of a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
- Patient ratio of 1:2-3
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 1900-0730, with every other weekend rotation
- Some holiday coverage required, no on-call responsibilities
- 4x12 scheduling or blocked weekends available if preferred
- Floating required as needed
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience within the last 3 years in CVICU specialty required
- Level I Trauma experience required
- CVICU experience required
- Experience and knowledge of the NextStage CVVH machine required
- Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Epic charting experience required, within past 12 months preferred
- Must pass a telemetry exam with strict scoring criteria prior to starting
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to post cardiac surgery, cardiac catheterization, and cardiovascular intervention patients
- Manage arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and chest tubes as needed
- Care for ventilated patients including BiPAP/CPAP management and ABG interpretation
- Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and renal failure management expected
- Skilled in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and managing dysrhythmias
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, locals not accepted
- First-time travelers not accepted for this role
- References are not required for consideration
